Probably the best Xenoblade content there is. The game constantly rewards you for exploring, fighting, and collecting. Dopamine hits constantly. They really honed the best things about the games into a bite sized 20ish hour package.

I still havent beat the base game yet

I have no fucking clue what the story is because I haven't played any of the other games in the series. I've only ever played Xenogears, and these games are so far from it that they just aren't appealing. I'm not going to jump in at the very end just because the game has honed in on player psychology.

Played and beaten. Fantastic game and series.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the DLC lol. I haven't touched the game since I beat everything in the post game

They're all independent for the most part it doesn't matter which one you play. 2's cast is different from 1 separate from 3.
I played 2 because of the waifus, then went back to Reyne thyme, then did 3 with Scottish (is she Welsh again like Nia anyone?) sassy waifu. You don't have to play them in a specific order to understand the series

I mean, you really could. 3 is mostly a self contained story. I will say Future Redeemed has the fanservice for 1 and 2 fans. It also has some Xenogears love if you couldn't tell by the main character in that picture

I mean, you can jump into 3 without playing previous entries and not miss too much, but Future Redeemed doesnt come off as more than sci-fi gibberish if you havent played every game in the series.

I still need to finish 3. 1 is my favorite game of all time.

Havent played the first one, and Im not likely to anytime soon, as I hate playing anything on Switch. I bought the first two games when my PC was dead, but I got it fixed before I ended up playing them.

I have all 3 and Torna physical, Ive beaten none.

I have. Beat it like 4 or 5 days after release. I didn't like it as much as Torna the Golden Country, but it was pretty enjoyable. I was actually disappointed that it was just fanservice for Xenoblade 1, 2, X, and Xenosaga rather than an actual Xenoblade 3 DLC. That did make me look forward to any future Xeno games though.

I actually haven't. Didn't enjoy 3 as much so I'm waiting for a sale on the DLC. Not sure it'll ever happen but eh.

I want to get through XC2 first, but that game's a bit of a drainer with how boring it is.

Future Redeemed is really one of those things where if you haven't played all three games (excluding X) beforehand you'll probably not fully get the story, lol. XC3 itself is fine to start there, but Future Redeemed has baggage for those who haven't been keeping up with the franchise.

Still damn good expansion though. They did the one thing I hoped for in terms of gameplay: since the games have a huge focus on exploration, they tied character progression directly to exploration and finding stuff as permanent upgrades.
