That would be really cool if it doubled as a fight stick.

Interesting but how many games will that even be compatible with? Let alone function better than a standard controller

I assume the way its laid out in promotional material is to showcase all the parts, but my brain wants to think that's how it's supposed to be used.

Would be pretty awesome if you could construct it in any design like a high tech Erector model.

I meant de facto compatibility. Like you could use just a keyboard to play pretty much every game ever made but most of the experiences would be terrible, or at the very least a big downgrade from the original controller.

I do understand the idea of the Accessibility controller but that's a lot of money for something that might not even be fun to use for most games. And I do hope they design games around this controller specifically

I feel like you don't actually understand the idea of an Accessibility controller if your primary concern is somebody finding it "fun to use."

People aren't buying an Accessibility controller because it looks "fun" and they want an alternative controller.

Why not? They better have thought about making it fun to use when designing it. Saying "hey look we made a controller that almost everyone can use but it's a terrible gameplay experience" would mean they didn't actually accomplish anything.

Okay so now I see you definitely don't understand what this controller is for.

It's as fun to use as it can be. Practicality has to come way before "fun" when designing something like this.

He really doesn't.

Anyway, I'm glad they used a different configuration than the Xbox Accessibility controller. To reach a wider range of users. One might have better variations than the other depending on the users needs. Options for more people, because even with these controllers, it still may not meet everyone's needs. But it's a great start.

I don't understand what your argument is. Unless you are an expert on controller ergonomics or accessible product design, how would you know this is as fun as it can be or that they found the perfect balance between usable and fun?

All I did was say what I thought about it. Maybe I will try it one day, so why shouldn't I give my opinion on it?

Because they can't be looking for that "perfect balance." They have to focus on "usable," above all else. That's the entire point of the controller. This isn't meant to be a controller that somebody who can freely and easily use a DualSense will look at and go "Gee, that looks fun, I should buy it!"

because you seem to think this is an alternate controller meant for everyone like a fight stick or something when that is not what this is.

all controllers can be FUN, but this one is made for accessibility, not specifically because it looks "fun" to use.

like, this tells everyone you have no clue what this controller is meant to be.

Looking back the second post seems angry that TC said the price (which you have to admit is expensive). I think you just want to argue and I'm not interested. Sorry I got involved.

That's not the point at all. You just...really don't understand what the controller is for.

This is like someone posting a car wheel and pedal alternative for a car for disabled people that still want to drive, and you are saying it doesn't "look fun" and asking how compatible it is with regular games. You' talked about using it versus a regular controller as if someone who could use a regular controller just fine would switch to this as a fun alternative. The controller, much like the modified wheel and hand pedals for the car I mentioned earlier, is for people who can't use a regular controller. This can be rearranged in a multitude of ways to still allow them to play games.

It's not about arguing. You just clearly don't understand what the controller is for. Or who the controller is for.

"Accessibility" tells you exactly who it's for though...but yes, it's not made as an alternative for people who can already us a DualSense controller

This.

If you had even given me any indication that you were curious why I was telling you that you didn't get it, I would have done an "Explain it like I'm 5" post. You didn't, though. In fact, you made posts implying you DID know what it was for, which makes me think you've just been trolling this whole time.
