-Act 3 is the triumphant return of Peter putting the tights back on, leading to a Big Damn Heroes moment
-Final boss you play all three Spider-people, kicking their ass
-Roll credits

Kan't pretend I'm not disappoint. I was hoping SM2 will get some DLC that further sets up Cindy Moon/Silk, followed by her being the lone focus of the next side game, and then Spider-Man 3 equally features the 3 of them.

i think SM3 will be more of pete/miles for the first act with Pete living his personal life more than being Spider-Man, then cindy joins in act 2, pete declares he's taking a break or gets seriously injured, and then Miles proves he is truly worthy of handling the city on his own for Act 3 as Pete looks hopeful for the future

Do they show Cindy? The only pics I find are the back of her head lol

I thought this was about the movies. Disappointed it just the games. At least Captain America is black now.

That legit sounds like a good plot outline, even if predictable. I'd dig it.

Peter is not gone. Hes still a main character. Hes just not THE main character.

I'm fine with this. Part of me wishes they would do a Spiderman game with Christopher Daniel Barnes as Peter. Though that seems to be the hint they are going with in the next or following Spiderverse movie, finally finishing up that storyline from 94', which was finished in the comics or a novel.

Seems pretty reasonable. We've only been rehashing Peter's story over and over again for several decades. Seeing as how his character arc is permanently stuck with him learning the same lessons, fighting the same villains, and withstanding the same struggles over and over again each time he appears in a new medium I can't see anything wrong with having him step back and take on some new challenges and deal with other struggles for a change that don't necessarily require the story to focus on him front and center as much.

I dont mind too much personally, it seems Peter always has a LOT of personal suffering in his life, im okay with giving the man some relaxation and happiness through a, idk, hiatus or something.

It literally says "for now". Which can mean one of two things. We're getting another solo Miles game or the third one will start off with just Miles. There's no way Peter won't be the main one based on what they've teased for the third.

Gameplay wise there isnt anything they can do with Peter now vs all the crazy shit Miles can do with his electric powers and other abilitys.

So its probably for the best sadly. As itll only get worse once they introduce the spider verse eventually and all the crazy shit other spiders can do.

There's loads of seminal content for Peter that hasn't been explored in the Insomniac games. Would be a missed opportunity to relegate him away.

They do not. Post kredits, Momma Rio finally introduces the new guy she's dating. He walks in, introduces himself as Al Moon, and his offscreen daughter as Cindy, as the view changes to the back of her head before scene ends.

That means he gets one more game and then they change to another spiderman. And this was just click bait.

Yeah, Peter and MJ are living together by the end. So SM3 we might see little Spider-babies, lol.

Also uh...Miles and Cindy being together would be weird due to the whole step-sibling thing, LOL. I'd feel bad for Hailey too since they just started dating at the end of the game too.

Eh, I generally don't give a crap as long as the completely change the character including the name. This is one of those times I don't give a crap, especially since they introduce new characters all the time in comic books (Robin from DC Comics was a girl at one point).

3 should hint at Clone Saga tbh, if they continue they can use Ben and give Peter some time off

Miles is already spoken for. Peter has a better chance of getting with Cindy. She was supposedly bit by the exact same spider has him, so in one of her appearances, she and Pete have no chemistry, but their spider hormones or something go krazy.

She's been around for almost 10 years now. They've separated the two so she does her own things and gotten rid of the pheromone thing now, IIRC.

There's no way they're gonna implement that part of the character in the games anyway lol Especially since in this universe, Cindy is Miles' age, not Peter's.

Might be a hot take but I enjoyed the Miles Morales game the most out of the three games so I think this is a solid move. Peter's villains are all essentially Miles' villains too so it works out.

And maybe this will mean no more MJ segments lol

15/16 in the first game IIRC. so maybe 17 by the time of the second? I faintly recall that hes supposed to be the same age as Peter was when he got bitten, which i think is 15, but i dont know how much time there is between all 3 games...

to be fair, 2 of those 3 series released/were in development before Miles even became Spider-Man and the 3rd one was getting workshopped before he became popular with Spiderverse. They also gave themselves an out in the MCU by having him be canon with the Prowler mentioning him in Homecoming

This. I'm all for Peter retiring but it for damn sure isn't happening now. Hell, 2 ends with him taking a break but not hanging it up permanently.

From what I remember reading in the comics:

- strength (PP is the physically strongest Spider Totem by far, and actually one of the strongest Marvel heroes. He just holds back a lot to keep from fucking people up too much).

- spider sense. At some point in the future I remember reading a comic where PP's spider sense got so good that it practically gave him clairvoyance.

- experience.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the main reason marvel push miles because of copyright? I remember reading about their legal fights with the holders of a few heroes which resulted in big payouts. It's not normal for other heroes to outright take the title of someone else, it makes me think they're doing this simply to get people used to a new normal so they can phase Peter and reap more profits.
