i am disgusted when I see people deny the holocaust, unit 731, comfort women, etc.

Not saying that the Allies were much better as we had shit like the atomic bombs, bombing Dresden Italian cities and Tokyo Tuskegee airmen, etc.

it wasnt good Vs evil but evil Vs eviler.

I still see people act like we should sugar coat horrible events like the slave trade.

I was taught the slave trade and holocaust and they did not go into detail enough. They didnt even teach me much about imperial Japan and made japan look like the ultimate victim nation.

Basically they said Nazis killed innocent Jews, blacks were enslaved.

they never go into the subhuman conditions.

I hate American education and want us to do better

people get triggered by any recognition of the oppression of minority groups. Like falcon and the winter soldier for instance

Considering it happened almost 100 years ago I can understand people denying it out of pure disbelief...

But ya, it was real

At least Japan pays reparations. We still need to provide reparations to black Americans in the usa

one of my grandpas was a merchant marine(although when I google him it says navy so I think he might have not been merchant marine because they are not technically navy) in the pacific theatre. I have been told by some Japanese that I should be ashamed of my war criminal ancestry.

I am more ashamed that half my lineage fought for the confederacy

There is too much evidence to dismiss regardless of how long ago it was.

The only people that actually deny those things are either crazy conspiracy theorists or neo-Nazis (often both).

Some deny the severity of them because it hurts their feelings

I've always found it interesting that every Holocaust denier is like "it never happened but they totally deserved it"

The slave trade was likely even worse than what they teach, seeing how America was complicit in it.
I mean, they still teach that nuking Japan twice was necessary.
