June of last year, I was paying $58 per month for car insurance. Jan of this year, is goes up to $98 per month. Next month, it goes to $158! This is just for liability! Here! Take my first born, kidney, ect, ect.

Did you have a major claim or something? Thats crazy money. I pay like $700 for the year on my truck for full coverage.

Whenever a case of the Kia Boys happens and someone's car is totaled, people be like, "don't they have insurance?" I suspect the giant spike in grand theft auto is behind the insurance premium spikes. Because guess what...insurance isn't magic. DirkDiggles posted... Yeah, last year! And it wasn't even that much! It was just over a $1000 claim!My insurance premium went up by 20% just for using the roadside assistance (which I pay extra for, mind you) once for a jump start. Your insurance can go up based on the risk factor of the area you drive in. Yes they can raise your rates based on accidents other people have.
