I'd recommend playing 1 first, and only playing Miles if you find a good deal or have a lot of cash to burn.

i played 1 and half of the first dlc

i skipped miles entirely because, to me, it should just have been a regular dlc instead of a full priced game

Personally, Id start with the first 2. Partly because thats where you get most of the skills, and its easier to learn how to fight and stuff a little easier, and understand fighting and the skills. But you dont have to. That said, it would probably be hard to go back to the other games after this one if youve never played them But its still fun regardless

That said, I know for PS5, I think if you buy the Miles Morales game, it comes with a code for the first game, and the DLC (IIRC) Mine did, at least. So, you could possibly get both at a good deal I was planning on just buying Miles Morales since I already completed the first one. But since it came with it, I decided to 100% it again

Miles has arguably the best spider-man movie.

That being said I would have rather them just turn Peter Parker black instead of giving more super powers and making a super hero even stronger.

Its like Super Man isnt compelling because he is too strong.

MM and 2 build upon 1, but 1 is the best experience overall. There isn't a whole lot of variation between the 3 games gameplay wise though, so whichever one you play first will likely be the most fun

you can't even blame most of the selfish shit peter's done in this game on the symbiote, because he's doing it before he even gets it lol

peter has been selfish in just about ever single iteration of spider-man, because he is purely just a selfish person who claims to not want to be in the spotlight, but sure as fuck always, without fail, puts himself there and gets upset when someone else tries to help since they would be taking the spotlight from him even a little bit.

tbh, the whole situation at this point is just weird, but at least Miguel O'Hara is finally getting appearances, so... step in the right direction?

Otherwise, the claim that 'people said Miles was going to replace Peter Parker in 2011' is misleading because he DID replace Parker, who was killed off to bring Miles in almost immediately -- iirc, the promotional material came out within weeks of Ultimate Spidey's death. And Miles was intended to bring in a more diverse readership, which didn't really work and the poor handling of Ultimate Parker's sendoff just further alienated parts of the readership. Although it's hard to blame Miles alone for the failure of the Ultimates continuity because they'd done so many stupid things and, technically speaking, the Ultimates continuity influenced the MCU which has been financially successful.

I don't really have a preference (having engaged in pretty much no Spider-man content in the last decade except Civil War-Endgame). I'm just pointing out the inherently flawed logic of suggesting that it's "gullible" to like something that was created to be better. The obvious conclusion, of course, is that said comment was thinly-veiled racism amounting to "the only reason you like the black guy better is that you let the writers trick you into betraying your race," but that's boring and I'd rather go after how ridiculous the logic is at a fundamental level than grab the low-hanging fruit.
