its very telling that the people who run with this talking point the most are also right wing guys who are staunchly anti-lgbt themselves

In the immediate aftermath of the Hamas attacks on 10/7, there were a lot of pro-Palestine rallies, statements, social media posts, etc. that were criticized for being poorly timed, poorly worded, and so on. And maybe they were. But those expressing solidarity with Palestineans, even in that moment when it was considered most in poor taste, recognized that the weight of the West would soon be brought upon Gazans in ways like this, and the importance of trying to push back against that.

They are doing genocide first, then stealing the land.

By bombing the homes and killing kids with those bombs they dont have to actually go in and shoot the kids, which would be wrong. Bombs make it okay. Sure they could invade and only kill Hamas militants, but thats not the goal.

So fucking tragic. Of course bombs make it okay is sarcasm, but its literally what ghouls like Tom Joad say.

I mean, we did the same thing to Germany and Japan in World War 2, yah Gaza is smaller but the fact remains...we bombed the hell out of are enemies...war stopped being civil after machine guns became a thing.

War was never civil. The less technologically advanced you get the more personal butchering you saw of civilians by way of dismembering or beheading them instead of a quick gun shot or bomb which instantly incinerates them.

The conquest of Genghis Khan, for example, was anything but civil.

We occupied half of Germany and Japan and continued ethnic cleansing to take up more of their land in World War 2 with the intention to take over their land 100%? News to me. Also, war was never civil.

evacuate where? with what money or food? They are starving, many are weak from hunger, and or wounded.
they have no where to evacuate to that israel wont bomb

Netanyahu described what theyre doing as retribution.

Which aligns much more closely with 45% of Israeli structures being damaged than the phrase surgical strike.

Suppose you are a Palestinian and your house has been destroyed, members of your family killed, you have no food, no water, no electricity, and no access to medical care. When the IDF begins it's ground assault, if you have access to weapon you are probably going to shoot at them. Because you have nothing to lose at that point.

It's a calculus the Israeli government has made over and over again in the last 50 or so years. If you make a group of people's material conditions so fucking awful that they eventually will lash out you can then justify any amount of violence against them to "defend yourself".

The US did it to tribe after tribe of Native Americans. We would sign a treaty giving them exclusive access to a chunk of the land. Then settlers would encroach, with the tacit approval of the local government, and when the natives would respond to this in a violent manner the troops would be sent in to crush them. They would then be put on a reservation and told they couldn't have weapons to hunt with, but they would be supplied with food. Then food supplies would be withheld, or arrive spoiled, and the Natives would lash out, and the Government would again crush them. Repead ad nauseum and you've managed to commit to commit a genocide all under the guise of "defending youself".
