Couldnt agree more. I dont mind the new face at all. It fits. I am curious if his facial features change when he becomes infected by the symbiote.

The OG was a thousand times better.

He's got the older, rugged and run down look which suits him better in the game. I also appreciate the mature, receeding hairline look.

New face is a Tom Holland knock off.

And Tom Holland is the perfect live action face for Spider-Man. He might not be my favorite actor who played the role but is the one who looks the most like I imagine Peter Parker looking in real life

They shouldn't have made him look underage.

For the first game they really talked up how this is not going to be yet another origin story and Spider-Man is already an experienced adult now, and they've undermined that.

I just think he looks like a youthful adult with the new model, and imo it's a clear improvement (even if it's a touch too Holland-esque; a little heavy on the Hollandaise, if you will). The original kinda made him look like he has underlying health conditions, tbh.

The newer renders of the new face look much better.

Comparing the PS4 face to the Remastered face, PS4 looks way better. It really sold the idea of an experienced, older Spidey

Okay upon rewatching the trailers, the new face actually works for the PS5 game. The PS4 game though? OG face still.

Anything is going to look better when it's made as a PS5 exclusive

They don't have Spider-Man exclusivity as far as I know. It's just that they're the one publishing the game. I could be misremembering this, but if I recall correctly, Marvel approached Microsoft for a Spider-Man game first, and Microsoft said no. Microsoft could definitely work a deal with Marvel for Spider-Man if they wanted. Sony's doing the same thing with the Wolverine game. They're publishing the game, but they don't have exclusive rights to Wolverine. Just the game.

Sony don't have exclusivity. Its exclusive because Insomniac is part of Sony and Sony obviously has full right to release their own game wherever they want.

Any other studio is free to make a deal with Marvel and make their own Spidey game.

Sony only owns the rights to Spider-Man movies, not games. Spider-Man is in Midnight Suns, which is available in PlayStation, Xbox and PC. And the Spider-Man games have been ported to PC just fine.

The thing with the Avengers game was probably some exclusivity deal that Sony made for the game. And with Crystal Dynamics ending support for the game, the DLC never got ported over.

Yea was gonna say this. If the game wouldn't have died, Spider-Man would have most likely come to the other versions. If I had to guess, it was just a year of exclusivity that Sony paid for. That deal probably bit Sony in the ass though since the game didn't do well.

They should have just improved the quality of the original, not make him so baby faced.

It's unfortunate, there is fun to be had at the game and the story mode was decent. It was the live service thing that ultimately killed it.

Yea, it would have been an amazing game without the live service crap. I believe that's why the Suicide Squad got a massive delay. I think they're undoing the live service stuff due to all of the recent backlash and failures.

I did have fun with Marvel's Avengers and appreciate that it properly introduced me to Ms. Marvel, but it was definitely buggy. I crashed on the Maestro story fight a couple times (1 time being when he was at 1-3% hp and another time like 3 seconds after the cutscene started from beating him) and dropped the game for a while.

Each time it crashed, I had to replay the damn stage over, on top of dealing with that super annoying fight. He was a fucking damage sponge and I'm pretty sure the boss fight took over 20 mins. So the fight was already frustrating enough. I even died a few times.

Yeah it's unfortunate. The opening segments of the game were amazing. I loved how Ms Marvel was introduced. Without the live service bullshit making things super repetitive, I would have really loved the game

Yea, I think you're right ;_; I just looked up the delay and back in April, the devs/publisher said to not expect any major changes and that the delay has nothing to do with the backlash and that they couldn't change the model in such short time anyway. Also looks like it's slated for a February release now. The release date was May 2023 before the last delay.

Same here, maybe it's because I'm a Marvel fan but I did enjoy what they were trying to do. They definitely did justice to Ms. Marvel, even though a lot of glitches happened because of her stretching lol.

I was honestly disappointed with what they tried to do with Maestro. He's suppose to be Hulk but much smarter and instead they made him into a raging idiot and he didn't even have any connection to Hawkeye. He was such a missed opportunity.

But yeah the game had a lot of game breaking glitches that sometimes just locks you out of finishing the objective even when you try to restart the level. I wanted to try to do the end game stuff, but the only way you're going to complete them is if you can actually talk to your teammates otherwise it was impossible to beat.
