I've approached before (it's how I met my ex) but have to agree that it's gotten much harder nowadays.

Even after you've gotten into a convo with a girl, you still gotta watch that you don't sound like a creep when asking for her contact details.

Happened to me when I got into a convo for hours with this girl on a plane. All her friends were seated around us and it didn't feel right to ask her for her number.

Just so many things to think about.

Admittedly, I rarely ever did it. I mostly used online dating and dated women in my social circle. I never had to learn the cold approach, although I have had women approach me.

Social skills can be learned which helps with the right way to approach women and with social circles. I am proof of that, as I had to teach my autistic ass how to communicate well and interact properly. It's mostly observation and practice.

Online dating is admittedly different but there are lots of tips and tricks.
