Thats just the way of the world. Some people you meet at certain points and things are great. But then some people may value other friendships and stop talking to you. Or might see you as someone not as important.

I'm not sure how some of my friendships with women would change were I less likely to find them attractive. Frankly, I am in mostly male-heavy circles and don't hang around a lot of women or men just for fun. Most people are in my life due to a shared interest or connections within groups of that interest. I have had some women as friends recently and while I have found the experience quite enriching, if I am being totally honest, I would risk the friendship for a more intimate relationship.

So, I cannot authentically say if I can or not at this stage in my life. I'm not sure why that would be a bad thing, though. If I get along really well with a member of the opposite sex, why wouldn't there be feelings? I happen to get along better with people of the same sex due to shared interests. I do have gay friends who have expressed feelings or attraction to me, so I guess it'd be like that in the other direction.

Feeling that others are useless or not significant is not an uncommon thing in society, especially taking into account people that are not close friends/co workers or family.

A person who does retail or works in a restaurant might put on the illusion that they enjoy your company or that you're funny/cool, but once it's time to go or once it's time to clock out: They move on with their lives and couldn't care less about what happens to you. It's all about putting on an act to get your business.

Or a situation where you do have a one night stand with someone, and they dont reply back or care to see you again. It doesn't matter what people "think" of me, as the final result tends to be that a lot of people go through situations where they get used, ghosted, or the other person doesn't care about them

Whether something or someone is worthless is always dependent on person to person. You might be considered worthless to someone, and an anima valuable to someone, but worthless or irrelevant to another. A pet may be considered worthless to someone, but valuable and important to another

Multiple things can be considered red flags in dating by other people . Lack of height, lack of hair/balding . Age. Facial hair, job occupation, income. Mental health

Why exactly is it your business if someone chooses not to actively go out with a friend group? Or doesn't choose to meet new people? You do know some people value certain friends more than others, and that forcing someone to meet new people they aren't interested in, to please you, is selfish.. Right?

Also, what about online friends? Are they suddenly not valid either?

Many people definitely struggle with friendships because often times younger folks place too much value on the other gender, or feelings of infatuation develop. Or genuine feelings develop to where someone wants to get into a relationship, but the other person doesn't view them that way.

Also, jealous or concerned bfs/gfs do exist that would raise an eyebrow if their current partner is constantly talking to their ex

Easily. Wanting to fuck doesn't mean you're actually trying to fuck. Like, girl I knew was pretty much my type, cute face, big boobs. Good lord I would love to do things to her but she's my friend, I'm not gonna do or try anything because I valued our friendship.

It's never come up. I've had women as friends in the sense of proximity convenience; we get along as coworkers or colleagues or my girlfriend's friend or my friend's wife or whatever. Never had a girl who I would call up to play vidya or play pool, nevera friend friend.

This is probably the thing, for me. If I'm single, I'm trying to fuck, and if you don't wanna fuck, I'm going to move on to the next one. It's irrelevant now, since I'm gonna get married to my girlfriend. When it was relevant, the idea of being attracted to someone available, but not getting to smash, probably would've annoyed me out of further interaction. Again, never came up; I was either smashin' or in a relationship. I think my only downtime was after a bad breakup.

Yeah, i have quite a few female friends i have no romantic interest in and can hangout/grab a drink with with no problem, but then again im a 4 year relationship so i guess that helps not to be needy or desperate with them
