Gimme fat Silent Bob KS back Dude had a major heart attack that nearly killed him, and it was traumatic enough for him to make lifestyle adjustments so that he would live longer. God forbid. People have been criticizing his work ever since he became a huge pothead anyway, I'd argue that's a more critical aspect of his life that affected his work. He made that terrible Yoga Hosers movie before the heart attack, and his work starting from Tusk is where things really seemed to start shifting for him. Anyway to respond to TC, Kevin Smith had a treatment for Clerks III that was going to be his last movie, but one of the core actors didn't want to be in it and Smith needed everyone to be on the same page. That treatment was originally going to be put out as a comic book instead, but then the heart attack happened and he decided to scrap it in favour of a new one. Opinions on Clerks III seem to be mixed, with a lot more of his personal life and a sort of reflection on his own legacy going into the movie as opposed to silly catchphrases, nerdy diatribes and stupid over the top humour.
