I watched the first two eps of Ahsoka and it was pretty bad. Are eps 3 and 4 significantly better?

Eh. Seems like a cameo fest with a bunch of characters and references I do not know nor care about because I didn't watch Rebels. Might just skip out on the rest if it's not improving a lot.

That really is a shame. Andor had me craving more Star Wars for the first time in years and everything since has been really mediocre.

"Cameo" is probably not the right word but Easter eggs, references, and characters from a cartoon that I haven't seen that are integral to the story of this show are interwoven into the foundation of it. I have no connection with any of it, know nothing about any of them and after two eps still don't. That's a problem.

Yeah I am kind of having to force myself to sit down and watch these episodes, they are a bit of a slog. Nothing like the One Piece show where I wanted to watch the entire thing in one sitting

Not from the advertising it definitely was not lol even so, you don't have to watch Rogue One to care about the characters in Andor. It's completely standalone while still having a connection to Rogue One. It's just bad writing man.

I havent watched those and Im enjoying it. I like Sabine a lot. My kids do fill me in some, but I dont have the emotional investment in the characters that they have.

Why should a children's show be necessary to understand a live action show obviously catered towards adults

Also it wouldn't be the first prequel to require the viewing of the original to enjoy it, even within this IP lmao

I never watched Rebels or Clone Wars and I'm still loving this show. I've had tertiary exposure to some of the characters through youtube videos and stuff like Galaxy of Heroes, but I know nothing about them and have very little investment in them.

This show is so fucking good, though.

That was a pretty good episode. I think we've had more lightsaber fights in this single episode than all of the ST lol.

I have not watched Clone Wars nor Rebels and I'm still enjoying this, though I'm definitely confused about this "World Between Worlds"

Anyone want to explain the implications? People are making it sound like some type of multiverse.

I came for Thrawn, actually, not having CW or Rebels. Had no clue he was the villain, and just thought they were tapping the best books from the EU to bring into canon finally.

And it's beginning to feel like this season is going to lead up to a 3-second cut at the very last scene of the season where they cut to them walking in on Thrawn, and... cut to black, see you next season.

I was impressed by episodes 3 and 4, but the ending means the WBW bullshit is about to start up and suck all my enjoyment out of this show.

Bruh...I truly don't know what you expected.

From the very beginning, they made it very clear that this show would center primarily around the main characters from Rebels considering how often Thrawn and Ezra get named dropped. Common sense would tell you that you probably need to watch Rebels to get the full context. For that matter, you wouldn't even know Anakin's relationship to Ahsoka unless you watched Clone Wars. Kinda too late to be complaining that you need to watch a "children's cartoon" to follow along with a storyline that predominantly features characters from that same cartoon.

Plus we don't live in the 1980s anymore. Not all marketing has to be done through TV commercials and magazine ads.

I read up more on the WBW thing, and it seems like the consensus with people is that it's not Anakin, but Vader.

Would Vader going in there appear as Anakin? From my understanding, this is NOT post-RotJ dead Anakin, but actual Anakin from the past, right?

We don't know. We've seen 20 seconds of him.

He could be Anakin from another possible future for all we know.
