help me lose weight. A typical day I will eat the following:

-8-9 am - milk glass in the morning after waking up
-10 am - breakfast: simple sandwich with ham and cheese, or cheese quesadillas with corn tortillas. sometimes roasted hot dog/sausage and lightly fried eggs
- chocolate milk or juice to go with breakfast
- water and zero sugar soda through the day
- 3-4pm - usually, soup or rice, with some roasted chicken or meat and steamed veggies
only sometimes something sweet for dessert, like cookies or mangoes
8-9 pm - for dinner, a glass of milk or yogurt, sometimes a sandwhich

what should I cut back on?

Probably a combo of the milk/soda/juice and not enough exercise/movement.

I used to be legit obese and really didn't eat very much, but at that point in time literally every activity including work was basically "sit and look at screen". Weight flew off once I started working out.

Stop drinking milk, juice, and soda (replace with green tea sweetened with stevia or lemon water or whatever, so long as it has no calories or aspartame), eat a full meal for dinner, and get your thyroid checked.

Other than that, I highly recommend intermittent fasting. Im down about 45 pounds through intermittent casting, portion control, cutting out soda, and mild workouts.

A doctor gave me advice to drink two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with two cups of water. He also said to add lemon juice and cinnamon, but I think that's mostly for taste... I sometimes use oranges instead. But yeah, I've been drinking it every night and have been steadily losing weight ever since I started months ago.

I've been exercising too, but I was doing that even before I started drinking this stuff. The drink has definitely helped me lose weight.

Increase the distance from snack foods to your typical place of eating them as much as possible. Pretend that if you ever leave snacks anywhere around your lounging and snacking and/or eating areas, that ants WILL find them, and that next time you are hanging out, you will feel an itch before looking and seeing an ant on your arm and several more on your legs.

Also works if the ants are real.

Also, cold showers, as in properly and actual full cold for a minute or two, can be great at getting your body to actually start working out energy in the morning, and also promotes the growth of brown fat cells, which are notable for basically existing just to burn calories for heat.

STOP DRINKING YOUR CALORIES.

Unless you're one some sort of Doctor's prescibed liquid diet, you should only be getting about 10% (or less) of your calories from what you drink.

Switch to unsweetened Almond Milk is you MUST feel the need to have milk (like with cereal or oatmeal or something). Otherwise drink more water.

what's wrong with zero sugar soda

The fake sugar triggers your body's mechanisms for processing real sugar, so when that real sugar never hits you start craving more sugar. The desire for that occasional cookie and other sweets you eat may be a biproduct of zero sugar sodas:
https://kids.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/frym.2019.00051
Abstract
Why do sweet things taste so good? Sugar provides our bodies with energy (in the form of calories), which is probably why we have evolved to find it so delicious. Although we need calories, too many can make us gain weight, which can cause weight-related illnesses, like type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure. Artificial sweeteners were invented to taste like sugar but have almost no calories; the goal was to have a sweetener that we could eat more of without developing diseases or gaining too much weight. However, artificial sweeteners sometimes have negative effects on the body and brain that sugars do not. Our brains, stomach microbes, and pancreases process artificial and real sugars differentlywhich can cause us to eat more, gain more weight, and have a harder time digesting the real sugars that our bodies need. Artificial sweeteners should be consumed in moderation, because they trick our brains and bodies into thinking they are treatswhich can sometimes have negative health consequences.

Our brains and bodies have different responses to artificial sweeteners and sugars because these substances are different from one another at the level of microscopic molecules. Reward pathways
are like racetracks for neurons in our brains that when excited result in the release of chemicals (such as dopamine, a common neurotransmitter) that make us feel good. Think of how good it feels to eat when you are hungry, or to have ice cream or cookies for dessert! Consuming sugar activates our reward pathways, which explains from a neurological perspective why we like the taste of it so much. Artificial sweeteners only partially activate reward pathways, as they are sweet (which we enjoy for pleasure), but do not have the calories that we need for energy [3]. By not fully activating reward pathways, artificial sweeteners can be potentially harmful because they may, in a way, trick our brains, causing us to overeat in order to feel satisfied, or to crave even more sweetness later on. After consuming artificial sweeteners, people experience less pleasure, which should decrease appetite, yet they tend to eat more, and to choose foods that have a higher calorie count than people who consume nothing sweet, or those who consume real sugar [4]. Artificial sweeteners may make us crave real sugar even more, whereas cutting out sugars and artificial sweeteners from ones diet can lead to a decrease in sugar cravings in as little as 1 week [3].

They're also FAR sweeter than real sugars and mess up your body's sense of taste:
https://cimgpeds.com/artificial-sweeteners-make-you-crave-more-sweets/
Has your child ever had a no sugar, zero calorie food or drink that was sweetened with an artificial sweetener? As parents we think we are doing the right thing by cutting down on their sugar intake, but some studies suggest links between nonnutritive sweetener (i.e., artificial sweetener) use and changes in appetite and taste preferences, as well as in the gut microbiome, which may affect blood sugar levels and lead to metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, diabetes, and weight gain.

Artificial sweeteners are 180 to 20,000 times sweeter than sugar so they can possibly alter the consumers taste buds to have a higher tolerance for sweetness and thus crave sweeter and sweeter foods and drinks over time. Fortunately, One study suggests that taste buds can be reset if the individual who has built up a tolerance to sweetness goes a long period of time without consuming any kind of sugar.

Id advise not eating breakfast at all. Your body has basically been hibernating all night. You dont need the energy, and you arent actually hungry. Your body is just used to getting fed at that time. You do however need to hydrate.

If you just go through a couple of weeks drinking 30-40 ounces of water or so in the morning instead, after that you wont be hungry in the morning anymore.

My dude, you're eating close to 3000 calories a day of pure dog shit. The reason you're always hungry is because your diet blows and has so little actual nutrition in it, while still managing to be extremely dense in calories.

Stop with the milk with everything. Stop with the quesadilla for breakfast. Definitely stop with the chocolate milk every day. Stop with the sweet and candy treats with every meal. Eat some whole foods, healthy fats, grains, fibre.

So many of these things are treats, not things to have every day as part of your regular tuesday morning diet.

First, not processed salty meats.

One egg mixed with a few egg whites can be a filling meal.

Scramble them up with some vegetables instead of cheeses.

Alternately, have some oats or cereal with almond milk.

Is that stuff about the zero cal coke killing your sugar tastebuds true? I know sweetener is thousands of times more sweet than sugar, but isnt that negated by the fact that they use thousands of times less sweetener and therefore its diluted more?

Youre probably drinking more calories than you think. A glass of skim milk isnt the end of the world, but if youre drinking milk three times a day, itll add up. The skim milk in my fridge is 90 calories per 8 ounces. What are the odds youre only drinking 8 ounces at once? Thats less than the average coffee mug holds. Even more so if its chocolate milk. Sometimes I get a craving for it and Im tempted to pick up a small bottle at the grocery store but I end up putting it back because its like 400 calories, mostly from sugar. I love chocolate milk, so this sucks. Drink it as a treat only occasionally.

Zero sugar soda can be okay or not depending on the person. Its not inherently bad (weight wise) but can cause cravings for things that are. I try to drink it sparingly. Luckily I like the taste of seltzer water. Coffee and tea (without bullshit milk and sugar added) are great. Im told coffee and seltzer can be acquired tastes, but I love them. Try Vintage brand lemon-lime flavored seltzer imo everybody has their starter seltzer. Oh and dont mix up seltzer with sparkling water, which is basically just diet soda. Theres a whole world of tea out there to explore, hot or cold. Experiment and see what you like.

Cheese quesadillas and hot dogs/sausage are no good, at least as a staple of your diet. Cheese is caloric as fuck and its easy to use more than you think. Tortilla shells have lots of calories too unfortunately :(

Eggs are fine. Sometimes I whip up 4 scrambled eggs and eat them with hot sauce for breakfast. Easy, tasty, and under 300 calories. Beware the ham and cheese sandwich. Depending on the bread, you could be racking up a lot of calories on two slices alone. Fruit is fine for a dessert, but try to eat something normal for dinner. I like chicken tits with an unreasonably large pile of whatever veggie I have on hand. Vegetables are wonderfully low in calories and nutritious as fuck, so find the ones you like and go to town. Again, beware bread calories if you make a sandwich. I use some whole grain bread thats like 70 calories a slice and has a good bit of fiber. Im not a fan of rice myself because its caloric and, depending on the kind you get, often nutritionally deficient.

Download a calorie tracker and honestly assess what you consume in a week and go from there. Your goal is to win the calories in versus calories our battle one day at a time. Its hard to do that without some numbers to go off of unless youre an absolute gym rat.

Speaking of, dont forget to get off your ass and move around a bit. Taking a good walk will add up.

All of this is a lot. Pick one thing to focus on and chip away at these things one at a time. Maybe start with eliminating chocolate milk and make a positive adjustment each week (or as often as youre ready and adapting).

Regular exercise boosts metabolism, it is fact. Metabolism plays a key role with weight control, it is fact.

If TC lives a mostly sedentary lifestyle, it stands to reason that regularly working out would trigger some weight loss on that diet.

Stop feeling like you need to eat at the same time every day, eat only when you're hungry.

-Cut dairy unless you really like the taste (like cheese tastes very good).
-Way Too much bread. Cut the constant sandwiches, or watch the kind of bread you eat. Maybe use 1 slice of bread instead of 2, or find ways to eat the meat mixed with veggies instead of bread and cheese.
-You should only eat a palm-size amount of meat every few days. Ham every day is too much
-Not enough good nutritional foods, green leafies
-No healthy fats (tree nuts, beans, etc)

You can eat more if you switch your diet to nutrient-rich alternatives.
