supposedly it makes hair grow back for life. the card is 0% interest for the next 12 months, 1% cash back on everything and they match the cash back for the first year. so technically I could pay it off within the year with no interest and get some money back.

the only downside is I will have to buy more than 2 bottles of 3 in 1 bodywash/shampoo/conditioner per year and eliminate most of my extra spending for a while.

Its like that episode of The Simpsons where Homer gets that hair growth product and puts it on the company health insurance plan.

From what i gathered they just take hair from other parts of your body and implant them into the dead follicles on your head so they will grow normally.

If I had the income I'd be on the fence about it also. I'm surprised this cosmetic niche isn't larger and cheaper then other body cosmetics.

yeah this shit costs a lot. when I got my wisdom teeth out I had to have a molar pulled too and asked how much it would be to get a fake one installed. 4-5 thousand dollars for one fake tooth I quickly learned I don't even really need. if you ever get your wisdom teeth out get the molars yanked too. less teeth to brush and your tongue has way more space to do stuff

I did this. 100% worth it. I've had the new hair for 3 years now and I feel great about it.

Prices start at $6k, so $10k seems reasonable if it's a lot of hair to replace. The process takes 8-12 hours, hence the large cost. It usually involves the doctor and 1-2 nurses individually pulling out the hair follicles from the back of your head and manually inserting them into the balding areas.

It's not an easy procedure and gets very long. But the end result is worth it imo.

But if you can't pay off the card, they're going to come after you with an electric shaver to take the hair back.

yeah the one I'm looking at is very highly rated and full of celebrity endorsements. this makes me feel better because I was thinking about buying a new car but I'd honestly much rather drop 10k on new hair when my car is perfectly fine. the surgery won't bother me at all, my only concern was financial.

as an almost bald person, I think you'd regret that. I don't care how annoying it is, if I could grow beautiful shoulder length hair I would. instead I get a #1 buzz every 2 months so I can hide my baldness

The procedure, along with the finasteride I was instructed to take, now makes my hair grow at twice the rate of normal hair. It really is a confidence booster and helps with my job as it is a people-facing position.

Are you looking at using Care Credit? That's the best card to use for cosmetic medical procedures. You can get 1-3 years no interest depending on the specials going on when you apply.

I forgot I posted this while I was drunk last night but I still think it's a good idea. my car is almost paid off so that will save me 330 per month I can pay for the hair. and if I stop smoking and drinking that will save me an embarrassing amount per month too.

I hope finasteride isn't required though because the side effects seemed not great when I looked it up

Finasteride definitely has side effects, but I believe the frequency at which they occur is low compared to the amount of worry I see about them

That said, if DHT is what caused you to lose your hair, Finasteride/Dutasteride is pretty much your only bet
