Like, some of the things he has done (arresting political opponents who may or may not have had ties with Russia, people who may or may not have been grifting, etc etc) won't fly in any modern democracy during the peacetime, when the people have the luxury of time (and resource) to investigate and the delay/failure of investigation doesn't have consequence beyond your political opponents gaining influence or money being stolen.
