It's starting to piss me off CE, like I know this is a rural poor area but when you six fucking warehouses surrounding an elementary school with more on the way I feel like it's gotten excessive. Texas is a boon for these big corporations and these things Walmart just built a new warehouse out here that looks like a supervillain's hideout

Happened in a place near where my parents lived. Not the hotels but the distribution centers. Yeah they generate revenue, but they're ugly and the jobs aren't great. They take up a ton of space too.

Because our roads are already old and fucked up filled with potholes and throughout the last 15 years they've been getting worse and worse with nobody fixing them, the trucks from these warehouses fuck them up even more

Don't worry, those companies probably got a sweet deal on their taxes so they won't be paying to fix any of the damage their trucks cause.

of course they did turn my area into a hotel and warehouse infested hellscape, fuck up the roads, price out the few neighborhoods around here and just ugh. Cops have been proweling around here even more too.

There's a cool library and park I used to go to in order to calm down and unwind and now I'm worried Abbot will let some dick head company demolish the place for another distribution center since they clearly don't give a care about being right next door to kids, hell being right next to the high school and the community college is probably delicious for them.

I always heard that zoning in Texas was insane. Like a chemical plant next to an elementary school insane.

So true, there's no refinery here..yet but all kinds of shit is stuck together we have these huge christian schools in the middle of neighborhoods and they just keep building more houses, more centers, more more more lancaster isn't expanding it's litterally becoming a cobbled together mess filled with abandoned mini malls, there's one by my old high school that's been closed even when I went to school there yet instead of fixing it up or tearing it down it's got a generic donut shop and barbershop, the only two stores within this massive mini mall still in business
