Mostly due to how you are affected in the womb. Diets can change based off climate, along with your mother's activity levels. Even temperature can affect growth.

Nowadays the differences would be much subtler. But if we're going back to the ages without technology, the seasons and environment could have had a substantial affect on one's growth.

Today the only noticeable differences in seasons that could possibly affect brain development would be if your mother ate a significant amount of an "in-season" fruit/vegetable. Or maybe your mother was more active in the summer if she was an active person to begin with. Very small subtle factors that may not even have any noticeable effect given how much we've improved as a society in terms of keeping a status quo.

I think society evolved using the stars as a basis for some things, so it would make sense for astrology to have some merit based on this.

Retrograde motion is a very real phenomenon in astronomy. I cant explain it offhand but its how humans perceive the motion of certain planets due to the orbits of both Earth and those planets.

Astrology, on the other hand Is not scientifically proven. Id like to be proven wrong, but at this point of time, there is no scientific evidence to back it up.

But if you remove those factors your entire basis for an argument are gone. That is not astrology, that's nurture from "Nature vs Nurture". I'd have given you credit had you brought up how there's less sun, therefore Vitamin E during winter and may cause a more heightened form of seasonal depression but... seasons are different depending on where you live, and the star signs don't change according to that (there's no US Sagittarius vs Australian Sagittarius) so it's moot, but at least that was an attempt at stars meaning anything. These days most foods are available year around so even diet is out the door.

I thought only planets outside our own orbit could be in retrograde.
