This theater has a quiet room thats in the room. You go in and its soundproof. Specifically for kids or people with special needs.

The evil dead is my favorite movie lol

As someone who would use that room, I'd prefer you not to use it. Taking a baby to a movie theatre really won't be anything positive for them

Its not worrying its just a bad idea. The kid is going to cry and be annoying and just shouldnt be at a movie at that age.

At 2 months they cant even see things. Everything is just a blur.

They arent going to be traumatized. Its just a dumb selfish thing a good parent wouldnt do.

Doesnt seem so bad if the baby is asleep for most it. If you dont bother anybody else and sound is controlled then its not any different from being at home.

That said, Im not a fan of taking out newborns out of the house unless necessary.

Or you know. You could just get a babysitter to look after your kid for like like two hours or something.

You wanna do recreational activities, no? But you also have to take care of your own child? Now you're in a position where you gotta pick one or the other...

Or maybe it doesn't have to be that way you know. Whatever works for you. Personally it be better to get a babysitter if you really want to see some movie

I dont have time to scour for a babysitter online in a day. They would have to be vetted. I have a lot of work stuff, gear, equipment, firearms etc and we dont have family or friends out here, we moved across the country.

I only thought about this option because of the cry room paid option that they have. Its not something were dying to do lol

I guess if that soundproof room can be booked for yourself? Otherwise no. Even then I think the noise would be too loud for a baby.

A two month old baby isn't paying attention to a screen my man. Nothing wrong at all if he watched the same movie at home.

It would be us alone and I would be picking a daytime matinee. So the theater is essentially empty anyways

If you can go to a quiet room where it's just you two and no one can hear you then I don't think that's an issue.
Never heard of a theater with a quiet room tho, so I'm not too familiar with how they work.

If you're confident that you'd be alone and you think the noise wouldn't be too loud and disturbing for the baby and they can sleep then I guess you can give it a go.

Worst case scenario? Leave early if it's not working and swallow the cost.

This, movie theaters seem too loud for babies especially that young, unless you can control the volume or whatever in that booth or it's just not as loud in there

Well the sound system is a speaker you control. Like volumes/mute. Thats why I brought up the idea, so it wouldnt be loud.

shes doing good. Took a couple days to adjust and realize what is specifically making them cry. My sleep schedule is all nuts right now. Im essentially up until 7am and then my wife is up watching her. She basically sleeps all day and evening and is up in the middle of the night

I wouldn't trust a 2 month old to schedule their sleep for my convenience. I mean it occassionally happened but just as often the capricious little anklebiter randomly decides to shake things up and now you're either leaving early or splitting your attention between caring for the kid and watching a movie that you can't just pause.

And if you have to go to a special theater room specifically to adjust the volume so that you don't wake/upset the baby then you may as well just watch it at home, though that's more of a personal preference. I don't see a point in bothering with a theater unless I can get the full surround sound experience >_>

exposing a child, even a baby to something like a horror movie is very concerning
One of my earliest memories, from when I was around four, was the scene with the tree in The Evil Dead. My father had no real concept/consideration of things being inappropriate for a small child, so I was exposed to things I probably shouldn't have been as a kid. I vividly remember the opening from Total Recall (where Schwarzenegger's eyes are bulging out of his head) and being allowed (nay, encouraged) to watch South Park from an extremely early age. I'll never forget my father shouting at my mother that, "[He] shouldn't be watching soap operas with your mother because there's all kinds of sex, deception, and murder on them," and her firing back with, "At least no one is shoving a hamster up their ass on Days of Our Lives!"

All that to say, I grew up as a kid watching stuff that I probably shouldn't have. I enjoyed it, at the time, but looking back, who the hell let me watch that shit? (A lazy father who didn't want to compromise on what he wanted to watch, that's who).
