Godzilla vs. Kong was fun, but it did somewhat feel like a Kong movie that had Godzilla in it. This one will probably have that feeling even more. It was very notable how shitty the CGI was at any other time and had to be covered up with weather effects. Not that that scene also didn't have disguising effects, but it got away with it better. Only two characters worth anything in 4 movies were underutilized and killed off. (Well Brie Larson was great in Skull Island but I don't think they can reasonably bring her back for more movies since her character would be like 80 or something lol) But that said I really did like KotM and GVK for their action scenes. As films I'd rank them on the lower-mid tier of Godzilla but as spectacles they're easily near the top for me. Fucking Ghidorah awakening from the frozen wasteland of antarctica like some kind of Lovecraft abomination and getting into it with Godzilla was great. As for this, seems cool. Don't think we've seen Godzilla square up against any mammalian kaiju besides Kong and...maybe Baragon? Is Baragon a mammal or a dinosaur lol. Hell King Ceasar didn't even do much in his movie. We spent like 3 minutes listening to that girl singing and then he does pretty much fuck all <_< I'm rambling. Reilly was amazing in Kong. Just put a likable character in a plight that you want to see them get through, doesn't need to have much depth to it.
