The way they're acting right now, I say yes. Hopefully a lot of decent hearted people can get away from those states.

They're trying to set back equal rights by at least a century.

They are trying to sabotage and disregard their own voters whenever a decision doesn't go their way.

They're overly zealous and act like separation of church and state isn't a thing.

They try to teach creationism and dumb down education.

While not everyone down there agrees with them, the south deserves their bad reputation for a reason.

It did? Being split into two countries and ceasing to be a major European power until about the 90s did a lot to squash any nazi revisionism there.

While I do not agree we should get rid of the south, I do believe we should have handled reconstruction very differently.

I think a good middle ground would be the southern states are stripped of statehood and be made territories until they learn to act better They don't get any senators and have a non voting representative in the House and puerto rico guam and washington d c get statehood

The South has regions that could be highly favored by all in the country, but they would rather spread all their housing 20 miles from each other to make way for more trucks.
