I had many jobs in the past where I was either put in the doghouse or let go because co workers at those jobs never felt comfortable with me working with them if I didn't show any interest in going to their functions or hang out events outside of work

What's up with that? Isn't me being a good worker reason enough to keep me employed? why do I need to go to happy hour with my co workers the Dodgers game? I thought work was about making money?

If you haven't done anything worth being terminated over that sounds like a case for a lawsuit because that is basically discrimination. They just can't fire you because they don't like you unless you aren't good at your job, mess up somewhere, or aren't professional when you need to be. Lots of shitty veiled nepotism and racism going around these days. All you can do is try to fight it and keep on moving with your life. Robbing someone of their livelyhood is akin to killing them in today's society, especially if they work around minimum wage.

Yeah.... Good luck proving they did that

I have experience attempting to sue former employers and it's VERY hard to get them for something like this because they can easily make up a reason and say you aren't as good as the next guy they hired

They need proof of that though. Also it's best if you look into filling complaints about those specifically involved and everyone they may be cronies with. These bastards work in groups and need to be exposed.

Yeah I'd love to see the day that corruption in work is exposed and that every employment term you sign off on doesn't favor the employer

Hell in some of the jobs I had in the past, I had to sign that I can't even sue the employer for wrongful termination and that a mediator (who is hired by the company) will handle the case

All you can do is try not to work for people and companies like that, but I know it's difficult to do so if everything seems better than your other options at that time. Taking your complaints to social media might also do you some good because companies hate bad PR and how it could affect business and higher ups might take your case seriously. Lots of injustice and evil in the world, but all we can do is try to learn about it and do our best to avoid it happening to us and cope if it does.
