Polls have been wrong for a single election. They've been pretty reliable in the subsequent 7 years though. You'll notice the ones saying Trump will lose the 2020 election were fairly accurate - you know, since he's not president.

Trump dropped below DeSantis numbers and over 60% of moderates say they believe he committed crimes.

If that doesn't change he's unelectable. I mean it might change but as it stands he would only be able to win states where the Republicans outnumber Democrats+60% of moderates. He would lose every single battleground state.

The one word I really got fucking annoyed with in the media is "Unprecedented" it's like them saying "Well yes he did those things but powerful influential people have doing awful things with no accountability since forever, why be change the course now?" That whole "If they can do it to me, they can do it to you" cry isn't for people like you and me it's for other powerful and influential people like Trump and so by protecting trump they can breathe easy knowing for real there is absolutely no chance they will ever, ever, ever be caught or even if they are will walk away scott free as always.

This is good, I hope it hurts him. But No one who thought it would help him is an idiot. It is a very logical assumption to think that his followers would continue to see him as a martyr.

I mean people were calling for the death of that judges daughter. They invaded the capitol for him. Why is it dumb that someone would think they would grow in numbers for him being arrested?

Trump's the frontrunner for Republicans polling way higher than Desantis to the point meatball is begging legislators in his own state not to publicly endorse Trump even through his ass is casually breaking the law by shadow running for president without actually resigning from being governor and the republican controlled officers will do nothing, in fact, they're posed to change that law to allow him to go public with it in the near future.

So, terrible poll numbers nationally yet he's the best Republicans have to challenge Biden through because the media is the media I fully expect them to pretend that suddenly Trump is equal to or a worthy opponent for Biden hyping up the grudge match before the debates even start. In fact, by the time this all gets underway Trump could be constantly in and out of courtrooms fighting the multiple indictments he's under, can you imagine it, Biden's holding a town hall while Trump is in New York for yet another hearing? Like could the contrast between them be even bigger at that point?

I don't think that's what 40% of moderates said, just that they didn't resolutely believe criminality exists. These polls usually have a don't know/no opinion option.
