They breed them to have traits that make them better for fighting. Size, flexibility, speed, etc. They beat the dogs to get them to fight.

Working dogs have to be trained to do their jobs. Huskies are better suited to pull sleds but they don't do it by instinct. My is a lab but hates water when Labs are trained to retreive things from water.

You guys are stupid to believe they can breed a dog that just starts fighting. Dogs are pack animals and they would just bond. The terrible people beat and traumatize them to get them to do what they do.

Assume a bear could be domesticated like a dog. I would still want it to be illegal to breed domesticated bears, even if 98% would never hurt anyone. The ones that do snap or get abused will KILL. That's too much risk for a fucking pet. You don't have a right to own a specific pet.

So farmers should give away all their animals? What about housecats? They can cause infections and i think the death rate from some disease they can pass on is like 500 a year.

I'm sorry you live your life in fear but not everyone does. There are steps that we should take to make sure dogs go to people who will take care and train them. Your solution of cowardice is not it.

They are already breeding Pugs and Bulldogs to have their original snouts. Also, theres nothing wrong with Corgis. They look how they are supposed to look.

Also, you're unhinged. Toxoplasmosis kills more people yearly than dogs and you can get that from cats so by your logic we should kill them too. Should we ban cars because of car accidents? Should we get rid of alcohol because of all the deaths it causes? Should we ban fast food because of heart disease?

I think its important not to gloss over the # of bites, injuries, and hospitalizations per year

Yeah but hospitalization is a broad statement. If you get bit by a chihuahua and get stitches that's a hospitalization. Its not all maulings.
