I have, in fact I bought my last N64 game because AntDude said it was a good Crash Bandicoot clone.

Yes. HC Bailly played Radiant Historia and I picked up the reprint for the DS and got the remake Perfect Chronology for the 3DS. Also he played Paper Mario 64 and I got that for the Wii U VC.

I found out about Tower Escape and a few other Steam games through Youtube videos I've stumbled upon.

Yes. PatStaresAt got me into Dredge. It's pretty fun.

No. I bought the VC version of Street Fighter 2010 because I didn't think from his video that it was as bad as the AVGN said, and it turned out to be all right.

But I've never impulsively bought a game after only researching it through a single information source. I'm typically too cautious.

I bought Dark Souls after watching a Let's Play back when the game was a lot less popular. Also lots of indie games that I wouldn't have heard of if it weren't for youtubers

Yeah, Front Mission 3 and Yakuza 0. Both of them are amazing fucking games.

I bought Binding of Isaac after watching a couple Northernlion videos. Now I have more hours put into the game than even he has. Far less accomplished though.

A lot of youtubers (particually smaller ones) are way more honest than mainstream reviews and if you get someone you jive with, you end up knowing what you will like

For example TehSnakerer did a 2 hour video on why Greedfall sucks and his video just made me want to play it because everything he complained about I approved of XD

I think I found 20 Minutes Till Dawn just browsing one of the many Youtube vids about various Bullet Heaven games. That one in particular looked fun after I looked up more gameplay of it.

Honestly, yeah. There is sometimes that small time jrpg or metroidvania that I completely miss so if I randomly come across someone's "top 10 indie rpgs for XX month or year, etc" video and spot a game that looks interesting, I'll probably look that game up on youtube, hear more opinions out, and then I'll take a swing at the game if its something I might be interested in.

Not because they were like "hey hey buy [product]!"

But I've seen someone play something and noticed it looked really interesting so I bought it. That's how I ended up with Dead Cells.
