No, but I could do my work a lot faster than I do, with the result of getting a heavier workload for the week. They are content with my current production level so i'm good without more work for the same pay. I'm still considered a good employee as is.

I find it difficult to comprehend people who do
the objective of this seems like it's putting more work on you due to having to deal with the idea that you are doing the minimum

I don't agree in working hard unless you choose to but I also don't agree at doing the bare minium unless it's a job you really can't make use of in your career and are not impacting anyone else

one of my pet peeves and reasons I've worked wit managers to get people fired is becase the person's work performance was specifically impacting me

No
I get a profit share percentage bonus that I can directly effect. If I do the work of four new hires, I can essentially devour their paychecks during our busy season. If I'm not up to doing that, I just hire the extra help and make less money.

i actually love my job now and do stuff im not supposed to do.

back when i was young, not only was i doing the bare minimum at my past job but i would also yell and get into arguments with my bossesa but they never fired me because im always there and always on time, while everyone else struggles to make it a week without calling out

I do the best I can if it's not good enough then I lose, if it is I'll be happy and try to surpass my best, I even said as such in the interview for the job I have now. I guess it seemed more honest than most they have.

I'm a specialist so all I have to do is know my product and help customers. It's pretty easy, but I worked really hard to get where I am.

So I don't so the bare minimum because my job is pretty minimum

Nothing. A job is a business transaction, not a charity.

If you the manager or ceo want more, pay more. Stop expecting a handout because you're privileged, or rich or in a place of power or all of the above.

If you're only doing the barest minimum and you've no interest in doing anything beyond that, I'd say you're not finding any enjoyment in your job. So, try to find a job that does offer you at least a little enjoyment.

We spend so much of our lives at work. If you hate your job(s), it means you end up hating much of your life, and that's sad.

I work for the federal government so I'm not really in a"boss makes a dollar, I make a dime" situation and my work is also interesting so during the 40 hours a week I'm at work, I'm very engaged.

When I used to work at Walmart, I put in the minimum amount of effort I could while also working "enough" to make the time pass faster.

if bare minimum negatively affects your team then no. If you are doing the bare minimum then you shouldn't complain when others do the bare minimum and it negatively affects your work flow.

You are making a massive leap in logic. Not liking your job doesn't mean you go home hating life.

Not providing a free handout to your employer also doesn't mean you hate our jobs. You can like your job and still have principles of not giving out handouts to an entity who won't return the favor.
