Is it a new thing? x.x No its not a new thing. More common in Europe for some reason. You can easily get OTC medication for it, but you still have to clean daily until your kid passes all the worms. Since its a fecal to mouth route for infection people are probably embarrassed by it. The symptom only shows up at night too. The female worm comes out of the anus and lays eggs. It is itchy.
