Solomon Grundy is a batman villain? I think his very first golden age appearance was with Golden Age Green Lantern. But in modern day I think he moat often fights Superman. Has Batman fought him?

Depends on the writer really. Batman has been able to take him out, yet he has traded blows with Superman and Green Lanterns multiple times.

Grundy can take hits from Superman because that's his gimmick. What he can't do is toss him around like a ragdoll.

I can see the "but Superman isn't really fighting back" coming. I'd say an inexperienced, overconfident 16 year old isn't on the same level as Superman anyways. And that's definitely how she was being portrayed at the start of the movie the particular clip TC posted, is from.

I am not sure what these clips are supposed to prove as to me it looks like Superman KO'd Grundy with no effort, as in literally all he did was fall on Grundy and then proceeded to one-shot Aquaman shortly thereafter.

Grundy's "power-level" varies super wildly depending on reincarnation. Sometimes when Grundy comes back he's a tough, dude who is reasonably strong but beatable by Batman. Other times he can go punch for punch against people like Superman or Green Lantern.

His temperament and intelligence also vary considerably. Sometimes he's a child-like idiot, sometimes he's smart enough to run an organized criminal organization. And sometimes he's not particularly cruel, sometimes he's brutal for brutality sake.

Looks like this Grundy rolled cruel, smartish and heavy weight.

Kara is a very inconsistent character throughout her history. The "more powerful than Clark" thing is a fairly recent addition from when she was reintroduced in the early 2000s. And is only really a thing pre Flashpoint in the comics and in the Supergirl TV series. This version seems to be at the same level in power as Clark, yet her inexperience holds her back.

It shows him easily doing a suplex on an unwilling to fight Superman. Yes, Grundy isn't as strong as a fully powered Kryptonian. But it isn't like there aren't numerous instances of him sending GL/Superman level characters flying.
If he "can't toss him around like a ragdoll" then he can't easily perform a suplex on Superman either.

My argument is that supergirl should have easily been able to resist that. If nothing else than by just doing exactly what Superman did, aka fly up really high and fall. If Grundy decided not to follow her into the stratosphere then it still results in a scene where she isn't getting smacked around like a redshirt. And this isn't advanced combat mechanics that a 16 year old wouldn't know or anything. This is literally just "fly real high and let gravity do the rest"

That is a pretty Supergirl.

You could teach advanced combat mechanics to the strongest human being in existence and it still wouldn't mean shit if they never had any combat experience. It's literally the point of that whole scene and the movie itself.

Kara has trouble fitting in as both her human identity and as Supergirl. She has problems in her human identity due to not growing up on Earth and has problems as Supergirl due to having little to no experience as a superhero. Clark offers to take her to a 1000 years into the future where the Legion of Super Heroes operates and trains so she gets the chance to learn amongst her peers in an environment that isn't as alien to her.

I see that Solomon Grundy got pants too.

Outside of the main crew, Videl was arguably the strongest human in the world at this point. Spopovich (the dude who beat the shit outta her) was beaten by her dad easily in the last tournament, and Videl was going into this match seen as a clear favorite (although the viewer knows something is weird about them). So the purpose was to:

1) Show that something very weird is going on with the guys who have Ms on their foreheads, as their power fat exceeds what they should be capable of doing.

2) Piss off Gohan (Videl is his looming love interest) so he powers up, with progresses the next part of the story.

3) it just makes the viewer angry at this new group, seeing them needlessly beat the crap out of Videl. It also shows something about her, as we have never seen her in a big fight before. It shows that she has one of those Im never going to give up attitudes, as she had the option to submit at any time (not that they ever play off this attribute agin with her).
