did you even have one? internet, what a great invention

My family had internet before I was born.

My dad inherited a lot of money from his father's death and basically had internet from the early 90s on (i was born in 93). Even if all he could do at first was go into the earliest chatrooms and shit.

First computer we had as a kid was a Tandy 1000EX. And i used it for the same thing as i do now. Video games.

DOS prompt and floppy discs were such a pain in the ass, though.

Bullshit school assignments and light computer games at school. I didn't get the internet at home until 1999. Connected that shit up on a 33.6k modem. Aaaaaaw yeaaaaaaah.

Doom

Playing video games and sometimes writing simple reports for elementary school. Good old WordPerfect and the noisy dot matrix printer.

I don't think we got a decent-ish computer until the internet was a thing. We had an 80s computer with a few games on it though.

Always had some sort of internet access growing up, even if it was not on my own computer due to not having an ethernet port in my room.

I ended up playing a lot of Doom, RCT, and Ultimate Ride on my own computer. My dad's computer had internet access, so I would download and upload custom stuff for those games on his, then use a CD to transfer the files onto mine.

until 91 my family had a word processor which is basically a computer just for writing. My mom got it for her masters thesis.

in 91 we got a PC WITH CD drive, which was still rare then. From then until like 95 it was 95% video games.

Playing shitty MS Dos games

Writing school assignments. Playing games

Games. Played lots of Warcraft 1 and 2, Legend of the Zoombinis, and some other stuff. Plus school reports and the like.

I actually mastered reading and math by the time I entered 1st grade because of Reader Rabbit and Number Munchers.

Played Carmen Sandiego, Oregon Trail, Leisure Suit Larry, Doom, Myst, Riven, etc

Playing Ms Dos games and they were slow/laggy as all hell because my pc was terrible.

Didnt have a family computer until dial-up became common.

Games. Lots of stuff to mess around with in the shareware days.

We got the first computer I was allowed to use in 1987, so Ive always had internet.
