Britain used to be one big free for all of kingdoms similar to Fuedal Japan. Before the formation of England, it was smaller kingdoms called things like Mercia and Northumbria

If Mercia invaded Northumbria, which both kingdoms now exist as 2 different parts of England....would that count as England invading itself?

No since they have long since stopped being countries. I'm pretty sure both of those were wiped out by Vikings anyway.

Mexico decided to stop paying its debts, so Spain, England, and France created a pact to get their money from Mexico.
They sent ships to Mexico and started some diplomacy.
Spain and England accepted the sovereignty and independence of Mexico. The landing of foreign forces was allowed to avoid casualties due to fever and other illnesses suffered by its crew, so England had military forces in Mexico.
Spain and England left, while France attacked. Since England was still technically in the pact, it "counts" as an invasion.

Portugal was never invaded by Britain. In fact, Britain's oldest mutual defense treaty (that is still in effect) is with Portugal.

You can say that Britain attacked Spain during the time when Spain had annexed Portugal. But I wouldn't call that invading Portugal (since it didn't exist at the time).

And the UK did really pressure the Portuguese empire to give up territory in Africa, back when the UK was powerful and Portugal was a fading power. But that's not an invasion, either.

Historically, the Kingdom of Portugal and the Kingdom of England, and later the modern Portuguese Republic and United Kingdom, have never waged war against each other nor have they participated in wars on opposite sides as independent states since the signing of the Treaty of Windsor.

There is like 3 ways to get a Vatican City citizenships.
  • The Cardinals resident in the Vatican City State or in Rome;
  • The Holy Sees diplomats; and
  • Persons who reside in Vatican City State by reason of their office or service.
Bribing probably cost more than 100 millions.
Easiest way is probably to marry a Swiss Guard, but I dont think they accept gay marriage...

Yes, however, Portugal didn't exist during the union. It was all Spain.

Meaning that if there was any British fighting during that time, it was against Spain, not Portugal.
