2022 was a great year for me income-wise. Started a new job last summer that paid 25% more than the one I left, then 5 months later my new department upgraded my position title that warranted an additional 0.5% wage increase. On top of that, the EVP of the health system announced a 4% raise around Christmas time for all associates.

Take that inflation.

I was laid off in January after expressing my dissatisfaction with my job not giving me the 6% raise I had been promised when I started, and then I found a new job making 24% more

Nope. I work as a server so I do not get a raise. I just hope people will pay more based on the economy and the raise in how much our food costs..

9%. My company started providing compa-ratios to everyone in the name of pay transparency (probably state mandated, cant imagine they would have done it voluntarily), which likely helped.

Without the 9%, I would have been below 80% of the midpoint of the range. Which was well below where the company wants all roles, and not a great thing to show to someone whos been there for over 8 years. So yay to pay transparency laws.

Got a 22% raise in like Octoberish, but that does only constitute a 29% improvement over what I was making in late 2019, nearly 3 1/2 years ago. So not all that wild, but it made my life far more comfortable so I'm happy.

Are you getting bigger tips? People are tipping a percentage on higher priced food, and the tipping standard for food is higher now. 15% is considered a low tip now right? It's on the lower end of suggestions on the machine.

I don't think people tip by percentage where I live. I get tipped the usual 5 dollars but I suppose that's okay. Sometimes I get a little more but I've been getting way more money in tips since COVID happened. I don't really know why tbh.

7% on my base pay, but I get weird bonuses all the time so it's hard to calculate my increase in actual pay.

I worked a lot less and made like $3k more. I ain't mad

Yes. Every year we get a 5% increase, plus another 2.5% to 3.5% increase at the start of the new fiscal year.
