Teslas are popular, but I wouldnt want one of those. Then there is the Nissan Leaf and that little BMW which have been around for a while. I think Hyundai and Kia have recently released electric models. I get about 900km to a 45L tank of petrol, whereas I was getting about 600km to a 60L tank prior. Savings have been massive, and Id happily get a full electric car as a runaround.
