The async is still going, but it sounds like the two Stardews are done or almost done, so we're likely nearing the end

We're officially done now; everyone's through.

Stardew was an ordeal and I had no idea what was actually checks (and what wasn't) when I started. if it's not changed significantly I might just sleep 2 years in a row after like, meeting everyone. as all those quests villagers give you are checks, sleeping for that long would take like nothing timewise and after that you'd have all the requests in your mailbox at the start of year 3 (probably)

On the other hand; Zelda 1 translates pretty well as a shorter, more open game for this, and ZeldaDX does keysanity... ok.

Yeah I am interested in Stardew but it seems like it'd take a long dang time even with baby settings

actually on a related note is it possible to settings Evermore or Lufia or Hylics down to like 3-4 hours? I'm trying to do a thing and I want to include as many of the games as is reasonable even if I have to do silly things with the settings

Yeah, evermore is commonly a 3-4 hr experience for me with normal settings anymore, and I could probably pare that down even more if I used alchemy more often. Giving money and exp a multiplier is a good thing, I usually double both. Also short boss rush makes the final boss sequence shorter by quite a bit.

And Lufia 2 appears to have some robust settings where you can change the length of the infinite dungeon, and end it with a boss from the pool of bosses in the game instead of the master jelly it would normally have. 99 levels (the usual length) is probably too long for your purposes, but around half might make it more manageable.

I don't think we ever mentioned it here, but two new games were added to Archipelago a little while ago. They were Noita and DLC Quest. I haven't played either of them, but maybe someone will be interested!

Also, the next async will indeed be next weekend on June 17th. I'm in for my usual Hollow Knight. Start letting me know about your games or sending yamls if you're interested!

I finally tried one out at GDQ, but the setup took a REALLY long time.

It depends on the game, in my experience. Some are no more difficult than installing a mod, but others can be a lot more involved

Yeah, we were running synchronous FF1, LTTP, and Hollow Knight. FF1 was the annoying part.

FF1 is definitely the odd one out of setup because of how it interacts with the non-AP FF1 randomizer

so I accidentally made all of the checks super expensive in my game, and i randomed into having to get basically every check to get to good ones so I can't just skip junk. It may take some time for things to happen from my end...

@HBJDubs I sent you a sword for your Zelda, so you'll be able to attack things whenever you start!

I asked at some point already but I'm paranoid: if I'm going to do a solo multiworld, there's no particular trick to it but I'll have to refresh the room and re-do the lua stuff every time I switch games, right?

You only have to refresh the room if it's been two hours since your last check.

Best thing to do for Emulator/Lua is close down all emulators/clients/SNI when switching games, then start back up from scratch.

I mean with my skill level I might go two hours between checks
