I don't even know if those are things anymore. The idea just randomly popped into my head when I was thinking about how old I am.

The only good thing facebook did was kill the high school reunion.

Some of the people I went to school with do one literally every year and theres this one guy who always pesters me to go, even though I have always said no.

Hes recently been in touch about the one later this year and is making a big deal of it being the 20 year one.

Still not going.

I wasn't going to to but COVID lockdown was in full effect so it got cancelled anyway

There's no one from high school I want to see again.

Anyone who I thought was cool back in high school probably wouldn't be there for the same reason anyway.

No, I don't feel like letting everyone from my teenage years know what an abject failure I've become. Also I went to a Baptist high school and if they knew how I feel about religion and political issues nowadays they'd probably uninvite me and revoke my diploma

There was a ten year reunion that I did not go to. Twenty year is approaching soon so I'd assume they would organize one for that. I don't expect I'll go to that either. I'm not very social.

Went to my 10 year reunion in 2004, didn't hear a thing about any reunions after that - I would agree that social media very much killed high school reunions.

Haven't had one yet. This year would be our 10-year, but I have no idea if one is being held because I don't keep up with anyone from high school.

This topic made me realize my 25th would be this year too. I still see some of my close high school friends when I visit my hometown, no reason for me to go.

The 10 year was at a skybox of a minor league team, followed by a hotel. It was ridiculously expensive, not to mention that I keep in touch with a lot of my good friends from high school, so the only point of going would be to see people I dont care about.

I dont even remember where the 20 year was held. The 25 year should be sometime next year.

I havent gone to any, but it might be fun to go to my 20-year and see who even recognizes me lol.

Yeah I went to the 10 year. Was at a winery and about 50 people showed up. It was fun seeing what people were up to and reminiscing. Drank n played games. They had a slide show playing of pictures of people over the years on a projector.

I went to the 10-year. About 200 people showed up out of 550 graduating class. The whole thing was organized over Facebook. The organizer took the time to add nearly every person from our graduation class to a page dedicated to the 10-year reunion and she kept it updated consistently. It was a good time.

Nah I wasnt traveling out of state to attend something that was little importance to me. I know a group of people tried to rally a bunch of us together and at the end only like 4 people showed up and it was the people who tried to get us all together. It started off at a lake cabin and then ended up at a local pub restaurant lol.

Besides, while I enjoyed high school, I haven't kept in touch with anyone from those years. Gamefaqs is also the closest thing to a social media account I have. So I'm not sure how anyone would even invite me to one.

There were organized 10 and 20 year reunions for my class, but I didn't go to either.

The 10-12 people I still keep in touch with get together from time to time, but nothing organized.

I don't think there was a 20, cause it would have happened in 2021. Regardless I wouldn't've gone.

No nearly everyone at my high school was an arsehole, even my 'friends' turned out to be jerks in the end. They put me off people irl for life, now i just live life as a hermit.

Went to the 5 and 10 year ones. Had a blast

20 year one wasn't done due to covid. There was chatter of a "20+1" but no one wanted to actually plan it. If there's a 25 I will attend that. Most of my class did not age gracefully, so I want to show off.

Yup, 5 and 10 year. They were a lot of fun! One of the reunions even resulted in my best friend dating a woman who hed not really connected with back in high school.
