Mostly just managers are getting punished. But it seems like it's only the good ones. The best guy ever is being forced to leave to avoid being fired. One department manager who turned her whole department around and made it functional for the first time in years, is in danger of losing her job.

This temp is only going to be here for like a month and a half. She's firing/writing people up left and right, because she won't have to deal with the consequences, and it's a lazy way to show her superiors "Hey, look I have documentation that says I'm doing something."

Been there lol. A good director would ve able to see through the bs but in my experience they usually just take the managers side.

Basically he gets to choose whether it's documented that he leaves voluntarily or not. He's out either way.

That's the story of my last job. The management was corrupt. Constantly fudging the numbers. Sweeping huge issues under the rug. Committing fraud in order to pass their paychecks. Basically hollowed the company out to the point it was about to collapse. I saw the corruption and was targeted by management, so I quit.

But a year later, I was contacted by an employee there. They said everything was exposed, every manager was fired, and they brought in a new set of "fixers" to set things straight. They asked me to come back, so I did. Those were by far the best managers I have ever had. Yes, they were very strict about how the company operated and the profit margins, but they never stopped understanding that we were people. It's the first time in my life I was treated as an equal, and even when things were rough, they were understanding of the whole situation rather than just the financial side.

After 2 years of hard work, they had finally started turning a profit again. Everything was on the rise and looking good for recovery. Then I arrive at work one day to be told that the main fixer had been fired. The other quit a day or two later.

The reason? The owners compared the previous fake numbers, with the current recovering numbers and saw a lower profit. So they fired the best manager ever, and brought back in the corrupt manipulating one that ruined the business in the first place. I stuck with it for about another year, but he was destroying that company from the inside again. I quit again, and as a couple months ago they had to sell their second business to keep this one afloat. Idk what will happen when they realize they dumped one to support one with fake numbers. I'm guessing within a year or two this one will fold too.

Some places have x amount of write ups and your canned policy. My job does so it's funny cause we are so shortstaffed rarely anyone gets wrote up even when they deserve to. We have a thing called counseling which amounts to a verbal warning but written. That's what people get these days. It's supposed to be you get like 60 days to improve or not do again what you got in trouble for but if you do it's a write up. But they still won't write us up they give an extension on it lol.

Even a top supervisor has told us if we show up for work it's practically impossible to get fired right now
