Can't consent period inmates rape each other too. To look at it another way sex is banned in prison. Only thing that might not have legal charges is two staff members fucking. But they gonna lose their job or at best get transferred to another unit. Which depending on travel distance can really fuck a person over.

Largely it's a blanket rule to prevent actual rape because proving it in a prison is difficult. (Even when the victim they aint gonna give names as to who did it. Could be a death sentence for them) Plus we don't wanna come in and see two dudes fucking everyday we come into work so there's that too. With officers fucking inmates it's bad for two reasons. Could be actual rape of using one's authority or its "consensual" but the inmate is gonna rat you out thr first time you piss them off OR use the threat of that to get the officer ti start smuggling stuff in

Rules are one thing, but as a sane, sober, grown ass man, I'd be pretty fucking disgusted at the government or anyone else deciding what a kan or kannot koncent to. Long arm of the law kan reach all the way round and fuck itself.

Now it's not illegal but by rules they ain't allowed to mastubate either. That doesn't get enforced though as long as they keep it to the toilet or shower.

The inmates can consent to sex all they want when they get released. In prison they have two choices. Other inmates which only appeals to those desperate enough or actual gay inmates. The other is female officers which has very obvious problems also inmates fucking each other becomes a cesspool of stds. Which is another rule at least in my prison. It's a write up to do anything intentionally that has a higher risk of spreading disease. Typically this is needle use and tattooing (they don't use clean ones everytime) but I imagine it could be applied to sex if there already wasn't a rule against that.

Also again we don't enforce the masturbating rule as long as they keep it private. We only bust the ones that do it blatantly staring at a officer. Which is a criminal charge that will add time to their sentence and put them on the sex offender list

On the nastiness. For example you'll get male inmates that may piss in cup and throw it on you. My mother has said she's seen the women piss and shit in a milk carton let it bake in the sun a few days then throw it on you. Think she said the hygiene was typically worse too.

Now if you wanna talk opposite genders in the prison. You get the ocassional male inmate that's gonna wanna jerk it to a female CO and want her to see it. By it I mean his dick. Had a male co worker tell me he worked in a women's prison and didn't last two weeks he said if he wrote up every inmate that flashed her breasts or pushy at him he'd just be doing paper work all day. But the catch is if you sit there and allow it they can potentially nail you with sexual charges. He asked his supervisor what could he do? He was told to pull out the policy book and just keep his eyes on that till something popped off and he was needed. And it's not saying the women are Hornier. For a lot it's just a game to fuck with the guys

Closest I've seen was a drug dealer who refuses to get a job in prison cause they fined him 100k and he knows they'll just garnish his pay. Dunno what kinda money he had on the outside but I'm assuming he's loaded.

Funny enough he makes his money in prison making and selling burritos. They where super popular he'd make 300 bucks in a weekend which is a lot in prison. It's funny to me cause it's against the rules to do that in prison but woulda been legal as fuck out of prison. I hear they are damn good so maybe he shoulda got a food truck or something instead of drug dealing.

Cell phones are what they use to plan escapes or hits on officers cause the regular phones are recorded and potentially being listened to if the warden so feels like listening in.

I'm 3rd generation doing this. And my brother did it too. I had a decent grasp on what goes on in the prisons even as a kid just hearing my mom talk about her day at work or exchanging stories with my grandpa. My grandpa went from a Sgt to programs too so he also got to the side that strictly focused on helping the inmates. Programs handles things like getting them set up with schooling plans for when they go home etc.

It's kinds why I bring it up a lot on this site. It's hard not to bring work home with you when most people you talk to have done it too. Was especially bad when my mom and I worked at the same unit at the same time.

I work at a small unit. Worked there 3 years and some change. Hold on let me count. I've seen like 5 go down. And it's bad you develope like a 6th sense of when you see a new female and can just tell if they'll be one or not. I've only been wrong once and that was the other way around I didn't expect it from her.

I imagine it's worse at bigger units. Probably easier to get away with though. More people less likely to arouse suspicion. At a small unit like mine everyone knows everyone enough we just know when some odd behavior is going on. Like I called out a girl one day cause she was wearing makeup when she normally didn't. Her excuse was she had court after work. We got off at 6am courts don't start around here till 9.

It's crazy how often this happens. Like yeah, they spend a lot of time around the inmates, so I kind of get how they could catch feelings. But at the same time, they're inmates for a reason. Maybe don't put your career on the line for a criminal

Also, I wonder why they didn't use a mugshot for one of the women. Makes her stand out way more than the other two lol.

Idk about that prison but I wouldn't say there is a staggering power dynamic. There is one for sure. I think the power dynamic is lesser a little by the fact if they really want us dead we will be dead.

He wasn't being sympathetic. Kinda came off how I feel. I see how it happens. Inmates are clever and can be smooth talkers and too many officers are too open about personal problems so they can find their easy targets. That said I have zero sympathy for these so called officers. May the justice system fuck them harder than the inmates did

We don't have as much power as you'd think. There still is a power dynamic though as I said. I've had write ups dropped just cause it was my word vs their word.

And with cameras everywhere it's not like we can haul off and beat the shit out of them just cause we feel like it. We can't turn that shit off unlike cops

Not one I want but yeah. If you can beat up people and they can't do jack about it is that not power over them?

I'm a paperwork person but as said sometimes my write ups get dropped either cause the disciplinary officer is lazy or cause a lack of evidence. Which is fine on the latter cause they still have to go answer to it om the off chance they plead guilty which means they know i will write them up. That alone often makes them do better.
