Talk to everyone. Try out all the weapons as you unlock them. Try out all the powers.and combos Athena, Zeus and Poseidon are great.

Collect as many of the purple stuff as they carry over when you die. I would prioritize on more lives and health first.. and then like increasing rarity of powers.

Athena's dash is probably the single best boon in the game, especially for new players

Yeah def try all the different weapons, and even if you don't resonate with them at FIRST, try em out later again. Different God combos can lead to amazing runs

I wish I were in your shoes again bro. One of the best games Ive ever played, and I 100%ed it.

I was on board with her dash, until I got good and started using splash dash. Best boon in the game

Why do people ask for tips for games they havent even started yet. Just enjoy it. You cant go wrong and miss anything.

Otherwise you might as well just watch a lets play.

There are plenty of games with missables, which you wouldn't know if you're starting it completely blind. Hades too technically, if he wants to see every line and their differences with the romance. It's a very minor thing though.

Bang everybody

All the weapons can be devastatingly great if you get the right hammer upgrades or complimenting boons.

When you can start gifting an item to characters, go with your doggy first or very early on. Gives you an item that can help a lot early on.

Biggest helper is upgrading your mirror with darkness. Long as you make progress with that, you're getting closer and closer to winning.

Artemis (green huntress god) has the best special finisher move (your Call) on bosses. Especially for newer players. Fully charged it's a guaranteed huge single hit that can take off entire stages of health from the bosses.

Zeus lightning bolts are a lot of fun, especially upgraded.

Accept that you're going to die a lot. It's just a matter of learning attack patterns and the ins and outs of the game. But even when failing, you're unlocking more dialog and story and progress. There's pretty much never a full on waste of time run.

Experiment with different boons. There are some you might think suck, but you could just figure out a use for them. There are pretty much no trash builds you can't win with.

Some games have things in them that a lot of people wish they had known earlier. For example, I didn't know there was a second side to the mirror for a long time. Missed out on a lot of updates thinking I had the mirror maxed out.

TC - The mirror is where you'll get your permanent upgrades for future runs.

Gun is unwieldy but op if you use nade build

There are three romanceable options in the game.

Minor spoilers but nothing specific: Don't worry about "choosing" one over the others. You can romance all three options and nothing bad will happen. It's almost more "canon" to the mythology to romance them all.

Fixed that for ya

You will only get 2 Hammer upgrades and 2 Hermes upgrades per run. If you skip getting one because you chose a different path, that does NOT count towards your limit of 2 and they will eventually show back up again (probably, the RNG can be a bit odd). So if you have a choice between like a Hammer, a god boon that you need to make your build, or a Chaos Gate you can safely take either not-Hammer option without it crippling you later

Poseidon's dash is probably the best one overall, but Athena's is a very nice crutch for newer players.

They absolutely will. The game tries very hard to give you two Hermes and two hammers. If you skip every single one of them, one of each will still show up in the shop on the last level.

Talk to everyone, give nectar to everyone. You will want to max out your devotion to everyone. Don't treat the game like a dating sim.

Call me a noob but my favorite build with Fists is Athena Strike + Athena Dash + literally w/e you want. Dash-Strike nonstop, constantly Deflect all the things. Kinda sucks vs the 3rd boss but still a win con

Im terrible with the shield but the gun and bow were used in my only 2 successful runs so far in about a week of playing

The gun is a newb trap. The DPS is way too low and you need tons of buffs to able to cheese through speedruns.

I dislike the bow cause its so slow and the gun due to the reload mechanic. But my first and second clears were with the bow and gun >.>

gun with Artemis aid and calling is nice, but you won't always be so lucky.

I personally love guns & bow, I just prefer to play ranged.

Honestly, just kind of experiment and pick your favorites. All of the weapons are perfectly usable, even if some are better than others.

Every weapon is good with the right boons on it

fighting hades without any boons is boring.

Honestly, this is the best tip. You'll always be just a little bit stronger each time when you cash in your resources. Don't be frustrated, just have fun with it. You'll be saying 'one more run' like a thousand times if you enjoy it.

Agreed. Especially in the second section if you got a ton of projectiles.

This topic made me want to get in some runs again and I was able to finish using the Bow for the second time, and the Fists for the first time.

Bow run hammers gave me triple shot + explosive shots. Fists I have no idea how I won because I still felt weak af at the end, only managed to win thanks to using whichever Call as a crutch, and somehow still having all 3 death defiance lives at the end (which Hades ate through all of)
