I get why it ends up there. But if you can get into the story and characters, it really pulls you through. It's hard for me to actually care about that type of stuff. But the Elex series held me for 200 hours this year. I suspect it will get some popularity when it launches but it isn't something people know about at all right now. And yet, I feel like I barely see anyone talking about it The game does a really good job of easing you into the gameplay too. It gates bonuses behind getting faster times, but the "bonuses" are actually things that might discourage a player if they saw them on their first run of the level (leaderboards, shortcuts). The level design is phenomenal, and I actually think the dialogue is pretty good (but that seems to be a hit or miss thing for people). Just going fast in itself and getting into the groove feels great too. Grinding times is fun...
