this policy change adversely impacts small content creators of all kinds, who necessarily maintain presences on multiple platforms and link to said presences or aggregators of such to maximize cross-platform exposure and engagement. the viability of their lines of work really depend on it. furthermore, by effectively gutting such a critical superset of hubs in twitter's social graph, this is really the first time i believe it's possible to anticipate cascading negative consequences for the entire website and its network effects.
