What happens March 9th?

capcom showcase, just announced

whats the fastest way to grind MR? Is it just the Gore Magala event quest?

Im currently 111 and I can take Gore in about 6-7min so Ive calculated it will take 9 hours of just grinding Gore to reach MR200

id much rather stab myself in the face

Just start doing the event quests one by one lul. Or doing the Anomaly Investigations alone will get you there pretty quick.

What's even at MR200? I've been there for some time and I can't recall anything past 100 that unlocks

its actually 160 but thats still a significant grind. The Risen Elderdragons are locked behind MR110-160

Anomaly investigations are giving me barely any MR. On a 115 Rajang 20min 1 faint Im barely levelling my AR by 1 per fight and getting about .5MR per fight. Its just way too slow

Sometimes I wonder if placing down stuff in Wild Hearts is just a weirdly timed coincidence with Sunbreak dropping Rampage quests(I know no one likes these but still).

I still haven't played Wild Hearts, but maybe someday.

Yeah when Wild Hearts goes on sale and I get a better PC at some point in the future, I'll definitely look into it. But I also have a bunch of Monster Hunter games to try out now that Rise has really gotten me into the series. I have World/Iceborne on PC and GU on Switch. So once I've exhausted Rise I'll likely move onto one of those.

I have one but it's still a low level. I already don't like spamming the same quest because I prefer changing it up every time, but I might change that so I can get to 220 or whatever the new max is before TU5.

I reached 211, got the new stuff. Not really worth it quite yet, and it'll most likely get easier as time goes on

But HBG certainly makes things easier

Hazard quests were really difficult and fun though. Imo potentially harder than RCGV. Lvl 220 being the hardest only by technicality due to higher overall stats but most monsters have easier patterns than those 3 quests

Hazard Lucent would be utterly horrifying without that Rainbow birb. Dude smacked me around good. I don't even want to do Hazard Coke Addict(Violet) until I have some maxed out weapons.

Also even with max partbreaker that tail only came off when he was about to die.

Anyways I wish my quests would freakin LEVEL UP MORE THEN 1-2 LEVELS SO I CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF RESEARCH REQUESTS WITHOUT GETTING AN EXP PENALTY.

Unfortunately I found hazard violet very disappointing after loving lucent.

Risen Teostra down easily. But man is it annoying to fight melee. 20 more MR and then I can clock RCGV and then only 100 more AR to go.

Lvl 201+ Risen Kushala is probably the hardest fight in the game atm. I can't say I died to him yet, but he's the only one where I really have to watch my potion count

Hazard Lucent Nargacuga was quite enjoyable I thought. But it didn't feel that much more difficult than the regular one either. I wonder how Violet Mizutsune is though. Haven't done that one yet.

Ok so I've heard that the Anomaly Quest version of Risen Kushala when you get to lvl 210 is a Hazard version. The post on it doesn't seem entirely clear to me for some reason, but I'm uniquely in a position to be able to test it out.

Hard quests are just more stimulating, as annoying as they can be sometimes. I just want anything even remotely on the lvl on Guild lvl 140 or Deviant EXes. I need to be actually worried about running out of potions even in multip, for the love of all that is holy

Ok so I've just confirmed it. The Anomaly Quests you unlock at lvl 210 or so have a different icon for the monsters, but they aren't called Hazard:, and the monsters are harder in their patterns but weaker than the lvl 220 selves in terms of stats. But the lvl 210+ Risens in Anomaly aren't the Hazard versions? I'd have to actually battle both but... it's impossible to find queues for either just on a whim, even with the global queue mod

It's always been a thing for equipment I think. Just not for decorations. So rather late to be implementing, but at least it will be in now. I wish we could just sort by alphabetical order or something.

Im pretty certain that function to search has always been there. Ive used it many times. But I too may be dumb

You definitely can't search for specific skills when making decos. But it's very nice of Capcom to add this basic functionality in the game's death update 2+ years in.

190 now.

Only 11 more levels and I have access to every quiros crafting and deco...

Ok tested it in my game. This is wrong at least on the Switch. You definitely can already search for specific skills when crafting decos

you cant do it when equipping decos which is probably more valuable.

That's probably what I'm thinking of then.

Yeah its somewhat hidden which makes it annoying

no clue why they didnt just include it for equipping as well and the fact that they dont have it alphabetically sorted is crazy.

I assume its sorted by Japanese and then translated. But it feels like a really simple feature

The quest reward is a bit late for me but there are two crowns in the recent dual Mizutsune event quest. Edit: After looking at Kiranico they're 100% for both small and large gold crowns, how nice.

All quests in Sunbreak that have you hunt two of the same monster has guaranteed small and large crowns.

Dipping my toe into Augmentation. I havent bothered so far since none of the regular Risen monsters have posed much threat.

whats the best way to do it? Just roll and if its negative dont add it, if its good add it?

or does a previous augmentation effect the next possible good roll?

I find it really annoying how the augment confirmation menu is setup. Several times I've accidentally overwritten a good augment with a bad one and had to reload the game.

This is fine. I prefer the newer one that was added in I think TU4 which has a higher chance of better rolls at the cost of losing a skill. I don't believe augmentations matter for your next try but someone could correct me on that.

Of course all my 201+ new afflicted mat quests are all like 15-30 levels below that....uuuuuugh

Finally got to MR160. Risen Valstrax is such a cancer to fight. I feel like as a melee user you just cant get near him for more than like three hits without him using some massive AoE

The AR grind in Sunbreak is really bothersome to me. I feel like I'd be playing the game a lot more without it. I like both Rise and Sunbreak much more than Worldborne, but I'm playing the newer games much less because I don't wanna feel like I'm getting derailed from a tedious grind that's going to be even longer because I'm farming the Risen elders instead or some other non-afflicted monster. Simultaneously, if I want to get any low ranking afflicted materials, my grind progress is immensely halted. My current AR level is 126 or so. I saw that the research target is Lunagaron with a 1.4 bonus so I decide why not. But my current Lunagaron quest is only level 100. So I do it and with the bonus I get about 420 or so AR points. A level appropriate Tigrex quest without bonus gives me something like 650 points. So I'm being pushed towards grinding the same few monsters I have properly leveled quests for rather than expand and do other things within that sphere. I need afflicted thickhides for a weapon upgrade. My Izuchi quest is level 65. It starts dropping them at level 100. It's not a long hunt, but it's going to give me almost nothing in exp and I'm going to be lucky as hell to get 10 level ups per hunt based on previous experience. More likely around 5 or 7.

It feels extremely like I'm being funneled down a particular path of endless repetition to get anywhere with it.

You only do Investigation if you run out of content. But they do unlock probably some of the best hunts in the game. But the speed of grinding for the levels need to increase by a good... tenfolds.

I agree with everything youre saying. I dont know how they looked at the Guiding Lands and said how can we do this. But far worse

I like the rotation of needing multiple monsters so you arent just facing the same 3 monsters for endgame. But come on. Why make it such a pain to level up and then worse to get anything you actually need

You guys say it but even at max lvl in AI right now, a random queue basically finds a lobby instantly. Some people just play the game too much.

But everybody's been complaining about the amount of grinding for it so TU5 should fix it, otherwise just lose all hope

I don't understand why they didn't have Anomaly Quests scale with your Anomaly rank as well. This way you can do the Great Izuchi quest and get an Investigation closer to your level instead of an utterly useless Lv. 1 Investigation.

Yeah that can be a problem. I recently needed some raptor men mats for lvl 100+. It was hard to find, but I eventually got to one. But the Hazard Anomaly Quests unlock lvl 210+ quests for the 4 monsters in this category

Next month is the end but we still haven't gotten an announcement for the announcement right? Or at least I can't find anything else about it.
