I just did them, and was wondering why the music was so boring and anticlimactic. I figured that like with the Gym Leader themes, the music would dynamically change as you busted through their Pokemon, but it never did. Turns out, it's yet another glitch that these games have.

How did they mess up the music like that? And it really stings because in this game, you can't rematch the Elite Four, so that music could really be lost forever if you've already beaten them by the time a hypothetical patch releases to fix the issue.

I really shouldn't be surprised at how big of a mess this game is fundamentally, but Game Freak always find a way to do so.

If you buy a Pokmon game in 2022 it's on you.

People have been pretending GameFreak isn't Sonic Team-tier at this point because the core JRPG gameplay is so simple it's hard to noticeably mess up even though everything around it is a trash fire.
