I'm sad for Korra and Invincible to have been stopped this soon, but yay everything I voted for won!

Damn. I know Korra is a step down from Avatar but I still had a lot of fun with it. I was hoping it could win one match but it got a pretty brutal R1 draw.

Yeah I would have voted for Korra over a lot of thr bracket but not in that match-up.

Invincible is great. I'm really bummed it got fed to the wolves.

I ended up checking out Infinity Train and love it. Thanks to this topic.

Next for me to check out...that I've never heard of ever...Over the Garden Wall.

Animaniacs just seems really strong right now. Got to the final four in the last tournament against some really strong opponents, and just got done kicking the shit out of Archer, a solid lower midcard to midcard show. I feel like Helluva Boss should be VERY worried.

I couldn't pick between Animaniacs and Archer or Rugrats and Spongebob. Glad my votes wouldn't have mattered! I opened up the topic twice, stared at it, and closed it with the intention of coming back later.

Helluva Boss also had a super low-scoring match which makes me think not many on the board have seen it.

Unfortunately the animation I was the most invested in was the one that lost. Poor Bojack... I thought his show was more well-known and/or well-liked around these parts. Don't get me wrong I like Paranoia Agent too, but Bojack is... extremely important in the world of adult animation to say the least.

Yes it does get difficult to watch at some points and watching the main character's downward spiral due to his own terrible decision-making skills is unevenly uncomfortable, but the show says a lot of things a lot of people should hear at some point in their life about accountability, responsibility, depression, anxiety, self- identity, and oh my gosh I'm droning on and on. If you haven't seen it please just watch Bojack Horseman.

I feel bad for Young Justice mostly because I really liked it, but I never managed to finish it. Also because it got matched up against possibly the best miniseries Cartoon Network has ever put out to date which also gets an efficacy boost because of what time of year it is (perfect time of year to watch OtGW if you've never seen it or want to see it again).

Wow, if I was to rank the eight shows in today's matches in order of how much I liked them, I would really have 1v2, 3v4, 5v6, 7v8. Lot of tough matches for me today.

Also, dang, I was hoping Freakazoid could pull off one more win before being fed to Ducktales.

So what I'm getting from that result is that only six people on Board 8 have watched Helluva Boss.

Seeding was determined by number of nominations, and then I went and re-seeded them within those nomination groups. Therefore, there are a lot of strong shows bunched up at 4-5 (the top shows with 4 nominations) and 8-10 (the top shows with 3 nominations). That's how, for example, Simpsons and Futurama ended up at 4 (only 4 nominations each) and Dragonball Z and Animaniacs ended up at 8 (only 3 nominations each). It's also how Helluva Boss ended up at #1 (it got a bunch of nominations)

This is exactly how I feel about Ed, Edd, and Eddy. I liked watching it when I think back on it every character side from Double D and Naz are obnoxious. I know that's entirely the point, but I don't know if I'd be able to stomach watching it for any amount of time now.

An interesting note about The Simpsons' loss, this is the earliest it's ever been eliminated in the tournament. Since 2009, it's reached either the semifinals or the quarterfinals of every tournament it's been in (interestingly enough, three of its last five losses have been to Futurama).

Fair, without that knowledge when I looked at the bracket I was very confused how some of the highest rated shows of all time were like, 8-10 seeds.

But it does make a lot more sense now.

I've been tempted to rework the way I seed the tournament in the future, sticking mostly to the nomination tally but using my discretion to raise or lower shows as needed. The seeding has MOSTLY worked out anyway, so I'm still not sure I'm going to start doing that next time.

Just seeing FMA:Brotherhood as a middle seed was very confusing. But it did lose to the 1 seed so it looks like it made sense

Infinity Train getting through TBatB is probably gonna be my favorite result of the bracket. Nice job, B8.

I'm more excited about a top five anime toppling a mid but exceedingly overrated adult sitcom. Now I'm glad Arcane lost to it (though really it shouldn't have. Arcane is phenomenal). Day 25 is definitely my favorite round of this tournament so far.

Arcane is excellent but I still voted DN just because the former hasn't had enough time to really cement itself among the best just yet

I was a fan of Infinity Train for sure. Deserved the win even. Hoping it can take out Death Note next.

However, I did not like Over the Garden Wall nearly as much. It was cute, but just missed for me.

I dunno if I'd call every adult animated sitcom mid and overrated.

I think American Dad is significantly UNDERRATED. If Inside Job counts as an adult animated sitcom then that's pretty great too. Y'all are really sleeping on that one. Maybe I'll nominate it next year.

Whoops, I pity voted Death Note because I figured Simpsons was going to easily win. Ah well, I love both shows.

If I could make a suggestion, how about 50-60% nomination tally and the rest based on each show's overall win % (with new shows getting a flat 50 win % for their first contests)? Would still make getting nominations important, but would stop the bigger shows from being too underseeded.

Noooo RIP Batman TAS and KotH. 50% terrible outcomes (I like South Park but King of the Hill is the better adult comedy don't @ me).

Believe it or not, this year was actually better than normal for King Of The Hill, which usually loses in the second round a lot of the time.

I can't explain Batman: TAS getting beaten comfortably by Looney Tunes, though. Looney Tunes is strong, but not historically stronger than Batman.

Also back in 2002 Looney Tunes got beat in the second round by Outlaw Star like 26 to 9, and that would NEVER happen today.

Death Note and Bebop are crushing it for the anime genre. Nice. Darkwing Duck himself is pretty awesome but the cartoon was just alright.
