I know it's a little long but I promise you won't be able to look away from how baffling it is when it starts

Yeah, that was kinda cool for like two minutes and then it just kept going.

I remember when this first came out it was going around online as "one of the coolest scenes ever" and I felt like I was going insane

I have the same problem with this that I do with The Fast and the Furious. Some of that might be done practically, but the CG overdoes it to the point that I don't buy any of it.

idk about the rest but Dave Franco really learned to throw cards incredibly well for the first movie. Like trick shots with them and stuff thats pretty damn impressive.

shame the second one was so bad after how good the first was. Literally left off on a cliff hanger then was like lets do a sequel but include none of the cliffhanger stuff.

I'm just so baffled. They made that so much harder than it needed to be. Could have at least framed it like they were passing the card only when it was about to get noticed, but there were a bunch of times when they could have just kept it where it was and been golden lol

Scene from Now You See Me 2. They're trying to steal a computer chip or something that's hidden in a playing card. They're searched on the way out and do extremely elaborate card tricks to hide it from view and pass it from one person to the next.

It ends up being dumb and terrible because they're all repeatedly patted down and it seems like they're specifically passing it to the person that's about to be patted down. Like there's one part where the woman sticks it to the bottom of her shoe where it's completely hidden and she still pulls it off and passes it.

And it's all undercut by the fact that it's a fucking playing card and no one would notice it in a patdown.

Yeah pretty strange.

Looks like a bunch of unnecessary nonsense.

Should have just simply killed everyone in the room and just took it.

This too. I've never once felt the need to go to the assistance of someone sneezing nor have I ever needed help beyond maybe borrowing a tissue, and I've had pretty severe hay fever.

Like bro, even one guy keeping an eye on the group would have been plenty. What's weird is that the first movie was pretty solid, so the second one having a scene like this is pretty surprising, lol.

I've not seen the second one, but now I don't think I will.

also, I guess you need to see the movie to understand, but it's weird how the guy even let them in in the first place, if he's so suspicious about them, and then kick them out of the room immediately after they get patted down.
