He acted like he was going to hurt himself then complained about the fans who cared about him calling for help. And with this weight issues. Instead of compulsively eating, he would compulsively chew food and then spit it in the trash. I don't know that he gained weight though. I left that job within a year or two of that time. He died about a decade later and I hadn't seen him since I left. All I know is he had been trying to self-install an AC unit on the roof of his business using a weak ladder and self-rigged pully system. Ladder broke, he fell, AC landed on top of him. He broke... a lot. Never recovered fully and started drinking to self-medicate the pain.
