I love many of the "zero" brands but normal Coke Zero isn't one of them. I'd rather have diet in that case.

I prefer the taste of diet coke over regular, honestly.

Diet coke is one of the few diet sodas that has its own distinctive flavor. Most of the others (Pepsi, Dr. pepper, Mt dew, etc) tastes like watered down versions of the regular. Diet coke is its own distinctive thing.

Can't stand Diet, Zero or regular Coke.

Diet Coke is just black water. Tried Zero once and found it horrible.

The best without a shadow of a doubt is Diet Pepsi. It is so amazing that you can hardly tell the difference between it an normal Pepsi.

How? It doesn't contain sugar.

My doctor told me that she'd perfer me to quit soda all together, but if you must have one, the Zero or Diet sodas are fine.

Because they trick your body into thinking you are consuming sugar resulting in insulin release.

There are some studies that suggest it messing with the gut biome does something with insulin too. I believe they've only done it in rats though.

Also, it supposedly makes your body release insulin because it tastes something which is pretty much what everything you eat or drink does. Long term they suspect it messes with sensitivity levels.

Tbh there's a lot of inconclusive studies on it. Like it's very likely it's not good for you, but there's also a lot of journalism that likes to play up shit too. The overeating being linked to it thing is a big one that people go on about that they jump to conclusions on especially.

Both regular and diet sodas aren't good for you.

Regular is high in sugar and will make you fat and potentially diabetic. Also dental issues

Diet soda has aspartame, which can give you cancer.

Moral is soda bad no matter which way you go.

They actually taste quite a bit different

the sugar industry has spent decades and billions trying to find a link between aspartame and cancer in humans and they havent been able to find any

the myth comes from the fact that some lab rats developed cancer of the bladder when they were fed a diet heavy in aspartame, but despite countless studies the same link has never been found in humans

This except I like both about equally.

Aspartame does not cause cancer.

Diet soft drinks are bad for you, and they still mess your teeth due to the acidity.
They are certainly less bad for you than a full sugar soft drink. Stop altogether if you can, but substitute if you can't.

This is like vaping: Still bad for you, but better than smoking.
