It's what should have happened in Texas as well when their grid failed in the middle of the winter storm last year. If you intentionally build your grid to non federal specs so the company can make more money then when it fails you are fucked. The feds will come and make sure people don't die, that they have food, shelter, and warmth. Beyond that? You are on your own.

It's not about the storm. It's about a local government wasting taxpayer money on a publicity stunt gone wrong. And then screaming "small government!" while asking other states for aid. All the states that get the most Government aid tend to be the "red" states that all scream for small government.

Take the reasons why out of the equation and it's simply about local government yelling one thing to please the crowd, while doing the exact opposite.

It's like Ted Cruz bragging about how many Texas jobs will be coming thanks to the new "bipartisan" Infrastructure Bill that he voted against.

DeSantis will get his federal aid money and pass it on to his wealthy buddy contractors who are running the cheapest and slowest operation they can, and also donating to DeSantis.

This is the scam happening in every red state.
