BlueTigerLion 09/28/22 10:08:46 AM #1:	count them as apart of a users poor mod history. Meaning, that it use to be really hard to get suspended. Like you had to be really irresponsible. Youd have to gather up like 4-6 regular moderations in a short period of time, or do something egregious. I managed to get a few suspensions at the tail end of 2021, beginning of 2022. One was considered egregious, and it allowed the others less egregious things to pile up and turn into suspensions due to the poor mod history. Regardless of whether I agree with them or not, the process was still sound. A super serious ToS violation = instant suspension, and a string up of mild moderations in a short time frame afterwards meant additional suspensions. But, if the goal of the suspensions are to ultimately encourage me to behave and become a more productive user, then I have been. I rarely get any moderations anymore. However still get suspended occasionally which doesnt really make any sense. If you discount the string of suspensions from earlier in the year I would have a very clean mod history. I would not have had any active moderations at all for quite some time actually. Today I had a two week old post get moderated for trolling which was borderline. Maybe it gets overturned, and maybe it doesnt, either way its not a big deal. However, I cant contest it at all because it got me suspended. The only justification for this is that the moderator glanced my history, saw I had a string of suspensions, assumed they were recent, and then used that to justify his action. If the suspensions are from a very long time ago, then they shouldnt have any baring on whether or not an off topic, disruptive, or lighthearted shitpost results in a purgatory. Suspensions given as a result of harmless violations should only be given if they are culminative in nature. Meaning, a bunch of them are committed within a very short amount of time. Suspending someone for having just a single moderation despite being largely well behaved over a long period of time doesnt make any sense at all. What is the point? *Just be aware of the suspension date when glancing at someones mod history. But enough people complained that Reddit and other forums has it leading to our site getting that feature. In terms of moderation I think people complaining led to the mod vote feature. It used to be you get modded you would have to appeal to the mod who modded you. So changes do happen when people complain.
