are teamwork feats still good? it was pretty strong in kingmaker.

Outflank is really strong because it causes an attack of opportunity from a critical which also activates when others score a critical during those AoO which makes it very, very strong especially with weapons with a high critical range like fauchards and scimitars.

Lol i killed (ch.2 side boss)zacharias by greasing the floor. He has low reflex save bonus, and literal slippery floor killed a lich once he's on the floor and cannot cast spell it's only a matter of dispelling his buffs then whacking him out of his dry bones

Grease is overpowered. Like, no joke, it is one of the strongest spells in the game. While it will eventually fall off (unless you toss in Mythic Feats into it...) it will absolutely wreck shop for far longer than most other spells.

You can get an Amulet from one of the Crusade projects that turns Grease into a 5d6 acid fireball.

i heard in the tabletop game there are weapon types you can use while prone, and there are mechanics that lets you crawl? it isn't implemented in any of the games, that what made grease so OP in the owlcat videogames. kinda weird they didn't implement it.

Yeah, there is no way they could ever put the entirety of Pathfinder into video game nor should it be expected. There are just too many things that act as bizarre corner cases that would absolutely take far too long for how little they would add. For instance, you can have your entire party polymorph into dragons, have them alter their size through spells, and then do what is equitably the most cursed form of "mount totem" as a way to do combat (bonus points if the player on top isn't polymorphed and is instead just a kobold that you've reduced the size of).

And yeah, Grease is just overpowered in general with Pathfinder. It's less powerful in tabletop not because of any particular mechanic, but because the DM can get around it if they so choose. With a video game they have to program in how enemies can get around stuff and for something like Grease it just wouldn't be worth it in the long run.

True, though I don't know if I would say that it would really end up making it not fall off in the way that I was talking about. And that's ignoring that unless you use a guide you really can't bank on Crusade Project items due to them not saying what you are getting until you pull the trigger. Part of what makes Grease so good if you toss in *everything* (ie. even Mythic levels) is that you can make the DC so absurd that even in the late game enemies that don't have immunity of some kind (usually flight) will still end up having a real chance of slipping forever. However, for obvious reasons this isn't super optimal as you would have to toss basically everything into making it work and while it would end up making all of your Conjuration stuffs have extreme DCs in the same line you can do a lot better with other things + the vast majority of Conjuration spells don't have relevant DCs and thus you wouldn't end up actually benefitting much. Certainly metamagic can get you places but it's more a bandage to you trying to end up with a goofy DC on Grease rather than something that actually helps.

Almost finished chapter 2. I got the sword of valor. It doesn't feel overwhelming anymore as now i understand more of the synergies. I picked azata, now i got a giant cat and a little cute dragon. Too bad i cannot build aivu on my own. She's only auto level up?

Aivu levels up when you gain a mythic rank so she gets stronger as your power develop and she also grows bigger so you'll be able to ride her around MR7 or 8.

Also just beat the chapter 3 final boss out of a single charge at the start of combat, playing on core but this was done with a dire bard azata. I would imagine a gendarme cavalier would've easily destroyed him since that's a full BAB class with nice charge bonuses. Since kitsunes get vulpine pounce when their BAB reaches 10, for medium BAB classes this comes online around level 15 and for full BAB classes at level 10, this allows you to do a full attack out of a charge which is very powerful and with azata incredible might you get some nice synergy since that activates from charge or critical. Otherwise you need a skald or play a barbarian to get the pounce ability. Pretty satisfying stuff, she was able to bring down the big bad balor from a single action.

I just acquired heighten spell so now i am level 10 and can cast level 4 grease, which has a lot more DC. Next time i get feat is probably gonna get favorable metamagic so it doesn't affect my friends

This is where you cheat... I mean install totally not cheat mods that let you add all of the Mystic Favored Metamagics (normally it's really hard to budget them all in, and definitely not worth doing outside of the memes) to your character that let you use Metamagic with a lowered increase in caster level. Nothing quite says "get your slimy butt on the floor" like an Extended, Heightened, Persistent, Quickened, Selective Grease.

Btw you can also "cheat" the game with animal companion feats. Teamwork feats require 3 intelligence, but i forgot to raise it during level 8 upgrade, so i equipped an int raising tiara, level up, pick outflank, unequip and the feat still work. Actual combat tested too.

Basically none, especially considering dogs are goddamn monsters.

Nenio can insta kill enemies and clear out trash mobs by herself with weird if you build her up for it. I was hitting up almost 40 DC with phantasmal killer on top of having dire of doom for the shake effect, that one belt with the aura with -2 will for saves and also ember with her evil eye her just in case at around chapter 4.

The DC is even higher for will because some of the bonuses from equipment doesn't show up. She can pretty much one-shot any enemy that's not immune to mind effects especially with some proper debuffs. I also have enough pets, two dogs from Lann and Sosiel, one horse from Seelah, that one pet you gain from that statue from drezen and Aivu from the Azata path. I'm playing on core and most enemies insta die from PK and once I get weird at level 9 I won't have to deal with most mobs.

What are you talking about? Unless you're in some place like China or Russia where they have some level of blockage as a whole you aren't making any sense.

Ye, that's true. I was interested in what was going to happen to OwlCat back when it was first relevant so I knew that they moved to Cyprus, but I guess it's definitely possible for someone to have missed that. I completely skipped over that in my mind.

i don't know what to feel about the crusade system yet. at first the king's bountry /homm like is cool but man it does break the flow. you can't progress exploring the map with it, and grinding for resource is really annoying, but you sometimes get great items from fighting demons on the map too

The mage generals, Setsuna Shy and the lady, makes the whole system a cakewalk and once you get marksmen it's over for the demons.

You can explore quite nicely with it.

The armies can be used to map out roads and whatnot without time passing, and I'm fairly sure they can discover non-hidden locations.

Whenever you cast Overwhelming Presence it merely covers you in an illusion of Setsuna Shy.

And yes, they can discover locations. It tends to not matter as the relevant ones are hidden, and thus not findable, but it is something that they can do.

I usually use them to scout right at the beginning.

And I feel you. I mostly just cleared off the map so fast that I don't know if I get to call it "going directly to" anything. For some reason they didn't have the entire thing balanced around the concept of someone who has been playing HoMM since people knew of it as a spin-off of King's Bounty and it was a bit of a slaughter

I mean, it kind of does. You can give yourself such an overwhelming advantage that you can't possibly lose + win in a matter of seconds in any fight. >.>

Also they added armies fleeing if you're stronger than they are so you don't have to manually fight every battle.

This is why I like to keep Nenio around, she's really good at clearing out mobs from a single spell and here she killed 5 enemies before the first round with weird. With a 43 will and fortitude DC and -4 to save throws from shaken and that one belt with -2 will saves most enemies will simply explode. You can even kill bosses not immune to mind affect if you're lucky, you can take away -12 to their saving throws since Ember's and Camellia's evil eye effect stack with one another. She thematically fits any party since all she cares about is her encyclopedia, good crowd control and death spells, good with buffs, she can craft scrolls and she has some pretty funny interactions like the one with Nocticula and Baphomet.

Necromancy is one of her opposition schools.

The whole point of playing as Lich is that you don't give a crap about your party members. Hence why you chuck them all away for mute characters that just stand around while you do all the talking.

Reggie and Nenio are 100% onboard, they don't need to be... improved.

Nenio 1 hit kill the dragon in chapter 3 for me lmao. I went in fully buffed and everything, suddenly the battle just ended

Smilodons and dogs are two of the top three pets.

Smilodons get Pounce and have ridiculous stats, dogs can Trip Demon Lords.

Horses are the worst pet, followed by centipede.

The smilodon is also few character that can tank my grease before i get the favored metamagic so she's very important.
