Im hearing mixed things about it. Some people saying that its a masterpiece and others saying that its cringe af.

So what is it?

The only reason that Im somewhat intrigued by it is because its made by the same guys that made Kill La Kill and Gurren Laggan.

It's alright. I don't watch much anime, so I have no real baseline.

Apparently they say it's so good it's causing a resurgence in the game's population. I haven't watched or played either. Just heard news.

Yeah, I remember people shitting on the game hard and now I see that its trending on Twitch. I think it was the most played single player game on Steam recently.

The game doesnt look too bad. I almost never preorder or buy games brand new as much anymore. So luckily I wasnt one of the people who got burned by the game on release.

I was planning on picking it up whenever it goes on a 80% flash sale or wait until its free on PS Plus anyway.

It's very good and does the Cyberpunk Universe more justice than the game can ever hope to, it's very light on Anime tropes likely due to having western writers and is great because of it, it feels like it combines all the aesthetic of an anime with actual writing made for real humans. I hate anime and I really liked it so I'd recommend it.

I bought the game because of it and I feel immensely disappointed the game utterly fails to live up to any of the hype from release or the anime.

It's a combination, big updated dropped alongside the Anime, the game was on a 50% off sale for like 2 or 3 weeks and we got news about the expansion. Game is still very mid though.

Haven't seen it yet, but it's half of a shadowrun anime basically so can't wait to watch it. Dissapointed by the game which I have owned for awhile but not played that far into, but will probably give it another chance after watching the anime.

Just......really wish they would make a Shadowrun anime, let alone a good shadowrun rpg/mmo.

Being told it's in both subs and dubs but the dubs has Giancarlo Esposito and I am torn by which to watch first now.

The recent BladeRunner miniseries was like that, watched it in English and Japanese depending on which was up first, will have to go back and watch it again in a single consistent language per watch through.

I know this is a few days late but the series is fantastic. Dub is the way to go IMO since they actually speak a variety of languages in the setting and the dub whereas everyone just speaks japanese in the sub and the setting is night city california. Some amazing action scenes with fantastic art direction. The characters are really well done. Unlike 99% of anime it has a good conclusive ending. Really feels like an ideal blend of western media and anime.
