it seems Japanese didn't like to read a synopsis, so the author used te synopsis as the LN title.
and it actually works, so here we are.

So Heavy Novels should have short titles instead

It's because of the laws of Copyright, and Trademark in Japan compared to America (and the west):

In America:
"To qualify for trademark protection, a mark must be distinctive, i.e. it cant just be generic or descriptive. Brand names and designs, for example, can be protected by trademark. Generally film titles only describe movies instead of distinguish or identify their source; therefore, they usually dont qualify for trademark registration. However, when a film or a television project is part of a series, the title may qualify. For example film titles such as Star Wars, Kung Fu Panda, Toy Story, or Endless Summer qualify for trademark protection even though the titles may just describe what the movie is about. Now the title is more like a brand. This is the exception rather than the norm with trademarking film titles or television project titles."

Whereas in Japan:
At times, multiple movies or novels have the same title. For example, there are multiple novels written on the life of a woman. Therefore, even if the title is the same as a novel published by another company, it may be used as long as the content of that publication (book) is indicated. However, the title of a movie or a novel cannot be exploited on goods or service without authorization if the title is already registered as a trademark of another goods or service.

Since almost all of these LNs become anime, and merchandise the title of the LN cannot be used again.
However to get the original copyright, the title needs to be unique enough, so if the title is not just a single word, then getting the copyright becomes easier.

I like it. It gives you a good idea of what the premise is, just from reading the title lol.

Makes me assume by default that it's about as generic as Man gets run over -> wakes up in video game land -> pick a video game feature and talks at length about it could possibly get.

The japanese are terrible at coming up with names and writing in general

Sao like settings really ruin the anime. Everything needs ui as visual aids as to why to protags so strong.

not all long title are isekai.
"A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn't Exist ", "My Mental Choices Are Completely Interfering With My School Romantic Comedy", "No Matter How I Look At It, It's You Guys' Fault Im Not Popular!" are some examples.

Nah, there's plenty of anime that have very descriptive titles (I'm not saying they're on the level of Slime, just that they exist):

• I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level
• I Couldn't Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job
• The World's Finest Assassin Get's Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat
• The Story In Which I Was Kidnapped by a Young Lady's School to Be a "Sample of the Common People"
• I Reincarnated into an Otome Game as a Villainess With Only Destruction Flags
• The Misfit of Demon King Academy: Historys Strongest Demon King Reincarnates and Goes to School with His Descendants

All of these are LN adaptations I think. And LN's are frequently Webnovel adaptations.(like with slime.)

And Webnovel adaptations are about as much professional prose as a CYOA is. Basically high end fan-fiction. So to attract readers they label it appropriately has always been my understanding.

Usually when I see manga with long titles, I kind of glaze over them and ignore them... I think my longest manga title on my shelf is The Weakest Contestant of All Space and Time...
