Im using the app for the first time because Im too busy to go get something. Its about a 10 minute drive and I was going to tip $10. Im not sure if that is good enough or not.

What's the distance TC? Many drivers aim for $1.50-$2 per mile between tip and base fare.

i usually tip the highest of the 3 doordash recommends
Pretty sure they include distance and maybe traffic (?) in that

its usually between $5-$7
If its snowing really bad or somethin I usually tip a bit more

As a driver I look for this, if its a little below its fine, but too far below a dollar a mile and I just deny it

Thats why I do that. Did some research and that seems to be what drivers want. I rarely have delivery issues. At least with drivers picking it up maybe not on order correctness lol but thats usually not the drivers fault.

DoorDash Drivers look for $1 to $1.50 per mile. Anything less and your food will probably be sitting around for a while until it appears in a stacked order.

people hate this. they fight against it. you don't understand how wild this would be if it was healthy. i am trying to compute the meaning of being paid a small amount to live comfortably under a specific budget where i have every thing i want.

I always do whatever the largest option is from the three options provided

I never tip more than 15% tbh

a couple bucks and my change, depending on distance but for me most times its less than 10 mins

hate to break it to you but it's EXACTLY what happens. What, you think the restaurant just sits there re-making the same order every half hour until a driver eventually comes to get it? If it's over an hour we'll toss it out and tell the dasher they have to wait for a new order to be made AFTER they arrive, at which point these chucklefucks then go and write a bad review for us about how bad we treat drivers because "they don't even start the order until after the driver gets there!" These idiots usually drop the order and then our re-made one ALSO sits there until the customer cancels the order and we toss it out.

Pro tip: use Uber eats instead so entitled drivers cant see what you tip until after the delivery

And while it's falling down the queue it's getting cold and stale. The longer it sits the bigger Doordash themselves will pay out and it eventually becomes tempting for a driver.

a tip is supposed to be an optional token of gratitude for someone who rendered a service.

company owners heard about it and convinced workers to work for less because theyd get tips.

then years later they said fuck it, we are not paying you, the customer will pay you. Its not right.

I tip. But the tip entitlement is a joke. I dont have to pay your salary, drivers. Inb4 pick your own food. To that I say hello, Uber eats

So many layers of wrong here. Tipping in the US is deeply rooted in continuing slave labor post civil-war.

i will pay your wages when you work for me. It is not my fault door dash wont pay you. You should ask them to pay you, but its easier to b*** at the little guy and not them.
